Here are the current dates and their current odds, feel free to include your bets. All in good fun, no real money...unless you're that kind of person, and I swear I had nothing to do with it.

My vote goes for after Blizzcon, my reasoning in the other thread.

I'm betting the beta will come out on the period between August 13th to August 20th. When in doubt, shoot for the widest margin (and the reasoning behind releasing beta during or after BlizzCon strikes me as somewhat questionable). :cool:

I increase my wager to include 50 bucks on @BlizzCon. It's even money, but a safe bet...maybe.

So I've got 150 bucks going! C'mon, line up your bets! :cool:

I bet over 9000 internets its will be after blizzcon... somehow I get the feeling that theyll show off battle net at blizzcon, then will release the beta at the tail end of August. Gotta keep expectations low.

Eh. I dunno. It's POSSIBLE I admit. But there REALLY is no point to releasing it then except for hype maybe.

I just *feels* like a blizzcon release. I mean why bother releasing it anytime soon? It's only 3 weeks to blizzcon. Give everyone at blizzcon a SC2 beta key. Release it right after Blizzcon finishes. Unless they plan on releasing it on Saturday which is Aug 1st.

End of NDA: Battle.net 2.0 release and maybe Beta start, but probably BlizzCon.
I want to be optimistic but I just really don't want to fool myself.

That's a rather direct assumption, I never admitted anything. Sometimes a phrase is just that, a phrase. In all honesty, I made a public comment that I won't be able to provide a bet in all good conscious.

The truth is that I've been vocal about having connections related to SC2 and have proven it to individuals here. For that reason, I do my best to not provide "false hope" and keep an understanding of the effects of my actions.

Let's look at the scenarios:

If I do know something, then my decision to choose a correct or incorrect date would be to hype or mislead people, that's not something I enjoy overall.

If I do not know something, then my guess may lead people who trust me or I trust to speculate that I provide "hype" information which I can't support. I respect people enough to not do this, it's just not something I feel is morally right for me to do.

You triggered my need to type a wall of text, and a full understanding of my mentality was the result. And I repeat for the above reasons, I can not place a bet on a set of days. I guess I would be able to say "I respect the members of this community too much".

Fear the Wall of Text. :D

As for a date, I just can't put my money on anything... I'm saving up for a guitar, and thats taking all my imaginary money as it is. :(

And my vote goes to announced at Blizzcon.
