Idea of a Council Research
Since Hallucination is a minor play but it's cool to see I was tinkering with the idea of a Blink Charge Synergy Research
After Image
Basically, the Blinking Stalkers, Charging Zealots will Create a Hallucination of itself when it blinks, Charges at its origin (After Images can charge but won't create more hallucination) and the hallucination will only last 10 seconds. This way it's easy to confuse your enemies and create some meat shields also After Images kind of just fit the protoss

They're strong enough, creating meat shields every time they blink or charge would be way too powerful for actual gameplay. IMO.

No. This will make Protoss OP to the point of ridiculous-ness. Charge really only needs to be cheaper and make so that it is manually toggeable only (can be toggled on the fly, ie giving zealots a fast run, but has like a huge cool down)

well the Hallucinations may be tweeked to only survive 1 shot, but it definitely will work againt bio balls to take 1 round of fire from Marines

That'll be so arbitrary and wil cause a huge amount of mess on the battlefield. Not a great idea or a clean solution to anything.

i dont mind this idea, maybe not for blinking but zealots automaticlly charge into enemies and that usually causes them all the die. as theres no way u can back them off fast enough from ur opponents army. If there is some after image thing, theres a slightly improved chance of them not all dying, its tiny but 4-5 zealots alive everytime this happens adds up and zealots deal alot of DPS so keeping them alive is good. This or make charge a button like stim pack, im actually not sure why charge isnt like that.

You can already toggle charge to on or off on a group of zealots. Just right-click the charge icon to disable the autocast. It turns them into regular speedzeals.

hmm maybe they can dodge shots while charging>? realistic in gameplay they'll be taking reduced damage when they're buffed with "charge" behavior

What if it's just a visual effect for charge and blink? What if it's just an afterimage? IMHO it would be better than a research to auto-magically make zealots/stalkers create hallucinations, which could risk balance no matter how weak those are as long as those are targetable units.
I would add some visual/sound effects that I miss from SC1 a lot:
For charge I would add the Zealot's stabbing animation with them grunting so the first attack they make after charging would be like in SC1.
Yeah, just as an eye candy for nostalgic people... It would just be a visual effect but it should have the characteristic zealot grunt sound.
