What are the list of things that Colossi can walk over. We know they can walk over small units, but what constitutes as "small"? Also are there small buildings it can walk over? How do small melee units interact with a unit that can't be surrounded?

They just hit empty space (assume its the shield) when they reach the Colossus' legs, we don't know if Colossus can walk over enemy small units however.

The Colossus can walk over what I'd assume classifies as a small unit...
Like marines, zerglings, zealots. Normal sized units too like the Stalker can be crossed.
The Colossus however can't walk over forcefields or buildings.
So theoretically if you want to stop a colossus from walking up a cliff to your base, surround your base with supply depots or something.
Pretty sure it can... seeing as how every time we see screenshots of it, there are Zerglings underneath.Quote:

Ah I see, the recent "battle of the races" screenshot had that feature, good call.
In that case, as long as the Colossus is either beside or above these melee units, they can attack the Colossus.

While I was checking the screenies (from the press event) again of the Colossus I looked at the Brood Lord again.
I forgot to mention it before and I think it's relatively minor so I don't feel a new thread is required, but seriously, I think it's pretty dumb that the Brood Lord shoots the mantaling straight at the target instead of firing a shell that hatches the mantaling or something.
I highly doubt that a small biological creature like the mantaling could be flung hard enough to damage thick Terran armour or thick Protoss shields without outright killing the thing from the impact.
That's probably a 'placeholder'.
I think many of the attacks in the game are still subject to change. They didn't change a lot of the attack effects in Warcraft 3 till well into the beta. Keeper of the Grove didn't get his proper ranged attack effect till a month before release.
The Brood Lord's not the one flinging the Mantalings, the Mantalings themselves fly alongside the Brood Lord and dive bomb at the Brood Lord's target, on their own.

The Mantaling isn't associated with the Brood Lord in any way, that's Broodlings. Mantalings are produced at some destroyed buildings, although since Broodlings also say this (as well as being chucked out by the Brood Lord), the name might be in contention.
Either way, if a Zergling can be run over by a jeep, what makes a broodling/mantaling/whatever able to dive bomb at tanks and damage them without dying?Quote:

Cockroach-like properties, elasticity and high impact immunity.
Same thing can be said for Brood Lord launching Swarm Seeds, but who's to say the Broodlings/Mantalings won't die from shock?
They just survive, they are Zerg.

Brood Lord should shoot banelings. That would make sense.
Imagine: he picks them up (like transport unit) then bam, bam, bam !
I would realy love to see that.
(other creatures would just splash like a fly on a highway)
