Women love to call themselves the "Queen Bitch" (*cough*Lil Kim*cough*). Therefore, I see no reason to find something offensive if the people who are supposed to be offended would actually be flattered by such a statement.

Downloading it now... Can't wait to see more matches later.
^ Well I would figure. I imagine there are at least a hundred SC2 games that will be played this weekend at the event. Some are bound to be posted online... I'm no expert though, so don't quote me.
I've watched the video another time and at the end marauder's attacks clearly don't trigger hardened shields.
The hardened shield effect is way more flashy.

I said I'm not an expert, so don't take my word for it. I remember reading at the event center hall #3 is dedicated to SC2. I'm just trying to be optimistic :P
Also, that Terran vs Protoss match - the Marauders shouldn't have stim pack in my opinion, or at least that healing Dropship has to go.
Stim Pack should probably be balanced by increasing the damage Marauder takes per use.
1 Marine (45 HP) = 4 Stims unupgraded, 5 Stims with Combat Shield (55 HP), 10 HP per use.
1 Marauder (120 HP) = 12 Stims per Marauder, if indeed 10 HP per use.
Perhaps either 20 HP per use (6 Stims) or 30 HP per use (4 Stims).

Maybe Marauders should get the equivalent of Stim, but with a different bit of research. That way, if you tech-switch to Marines, you have to research Marine Stim for them.
Like Banshee Cloak is different from Ghost Cloak?

Stim is fine on marauders, and it was used well in that game. Proper counter to marauders is zealots or air, which that P player didn't use at all. Even a Colossus might have helped.
You guys sure that wasn't the flash from Marauder Concussion Missiles?

Same video with a really funny commentary:

That guy pisses me off. Unfunny commentator is unfunny. He needs to get a clue.
While I'm in total agreement, I have to say that Triceron's comment is better. Even if he knew about the game, he's just not funny. His comment about the Terrans not having something that outranges a Photon Canon (said supposedly sarcastically) made me stop watching it.Quote:
A commentator know acctually knows the game and can make fun of it properly is much funnier than a guy who knows nothing rambling off bullshit.
I actually got a few chuckles out of that commentary. The whole "microing to absorb the most damage possible while dealing none" was pretty funny to me. Also, the "his entire army...which consists of about 3 units. I wonder if he realizes he built gateways" made me laugh.
To each his own.
Well, i said the Marauder was too powerfull for cost right when they introduced the unit... The attack is too heavy if it's going to have that fast cooldown. If it's meant as a support unit, i don't see why it needs 14 base attack + 6 vs Armored. That demolishes most things by itself.
Well it's a counter to Armored units, and they tend to have a lot of HP.
Well if they have 10+10 then they are counter to armored units, but with 14+6 they 3-shot zerglings, Marines and 2/3 Workers... And they have stim pack.
Marauders arent imba by themself, Stim is the thing that makes them imba. They really would be good and balanced units w/o stim.
I'll have to see more than just 1 low quality game before I think Marauders are imba or not.
Right now, I love the Marauder's concept, but that unit is fugly as hell.
Wish it could look less bulky and stuff.
Seriously, there was absolutely no problem with differentiating the firebat from the marine in SC1, pretty sure it's not that hard to make the marauder easily differentiable without making him wider than he is tall.
He's the only unit that is completely unproportional. Honestly, no other unit in the game is as unproportional and ugly as him (cept the lurker who's just plain ugly).
It the matter of opinion. From all Terran army I like Marauder the most, by his look and his purpose! I just like bulky units. And I like Lurker too. Actually there is no units that I hate from that point of view, except, maybe, Brood Lord...
Thank you for this awesome post. I thought I was the only one thinking this. This is what happens when you let Samwise to much freedom, he start making crappy disproportional units like this one. The movement animation is also horrible. Even units in WC3 moved more fluently than him. The worst is that I don't think the model will change since I remember Rob Pardo saying that the marauder is his favorite unit.
The main problem i see, is their attack speed vs attack power vs cost. Some of that should get a little lower. IMHO, they shoot too fast.
According to sc wiki, the Marauder deals 10 (+10 vs Armored) damage now. That's just like the Dragoon in BW, but the attack is faster, and it does slow down the units it damages less.
Oh, wait, the wiki also says that they lost the Stimpack capability. Either they added it again, or the build was very old.
Man, that Immortals look slowed to me! Wasn't that supposed to work on Bio units only??
It can't attack air units.Quote:

It also shoots in a volley of 2, changing the way it impacts armour.
That had some seriously sweet warp in graphics.
I completely agree.Quote:

The stim pack seems OP because he dropped the Marauders behind two defenseless mineral lines, which is the Protoss player's fault (not to mention the lack of effective counters); however, the Marauder might seem a little underpowered if you saw it trying to catch up to marines to engage in battle in the middle of the map, considering they travel at a very, very slow speed without the stim upgrade.
I guess I can see how people might have a problem with the excess of bulky, Terran units, but that's the beauty of the Terran.Quote:

They're humans, therefore technologically inferior to the advanced Protoss, which control the sleek, shiny units; and obsessed with hastily built, powerful machines, which is exactly what the Marauders look like. But that's just my opinion. I actually would prefer a less bulky BC, but the Marauders look fine IMO.
They'd run out of shields by then most likely.
Eh. There isn't much else to manage without stim pack. They're pretty Attack-Move-y otherwise.
...and getting rid of the Marauder having Stim Pack or the Med-evac dropship is not the way to go. Especially when altering stats fixes things just as well.
I think they specifically don't want to do that. If there's a problem, they can just make the Marauder himself slower or make Stim percentage-based.
Um... what? A banshee is an Irish legend. A female spirit. How can it be rude?
Yah and what about those "Dark" templar?
the viking ground mode also has a goofy marauder like walk.
the viking also has the worst lines and voice in the game.
Fixed. :p
Granted they could have better Transformers lines than "Looks like the Big Boy needs a little training"... >_< But I guess it's supposed to be a reference to the fact that the Viking just finished training...? Meh.
I dunno, I kinda love the Marauder's (which doesn't look remotely "WC3-ish" or cartoony...) and Viking's designs.
i think its suppose to mean that the vikings neglect training...meaning that they don't need training and mock those who do.....
still the worst RTS unit line in history...
even the old red alert soviet russian accent lines of "reporting" and "yes sir" were AT LEAST 10 times better
