Anybody been here since the beginning?

I remember being 10-11 years old playing this game for the first time in 98. I then found this site and visited it regularly. Through all of the years, this is the only site that I know of that has still been active. Infoceptor was the other one that has remained active for a long time but it shut down a year or two ago.

I had a few SC/Blizzard sites of my own from 99-01. SCL even had a link to my website. This was long ago...

What's the point of this thread? I just want to thank SCL for staying active through all of these years. Now with SC2 out, they finally have some new material to write about.

Yup. I've been here since the beginning. I used to go to Infoceptor, too, for the mods but I always liked SCLegacy.

I joined up in '02. Good times. I remember infoceptor, or infocraptor, as one of our old admins liked to call it. That place did have good mods. Anybody play the doom dragoon mod?

Any particular reason for that name, besides them being the "competition"?

I've been here since the beginning but I took over total and direct management in 05. Before taking over I was staff at a few smaller sites and ran my own clan for 6 years.

Good times!

But thanks for the props man. We're still here, dedicated to bringing you the highest quality editorials and event coverage that we can. If we had more staff we'd be able to do even more!

What clan did you run? I probably heard of them. I was in Crimson Knights a long long time ago.

I lurked SCL from 2003 mainly because of artwork, but that was one of the things that got me in Blizzforums.com as well
I joined SCL in 2006 as far as I recall

Probably started reading SCL around 2008 so I haven't been around for that long.
Been playing Zerg since 98' though...

I came to BF shortly after the SC2 announcement.

I conquered it shortly afterward.

I feel old, seeing how much time I've spent at SCL and BF
at first I was a troll that didn't know how to write in english (ugh when I see my oldest posts from BF SC2 section)...now I am just a senior troll yet devoted

That's debatable. I still have trouble understanding Spychi sometimes; his grammar and sentence structure are atrocious.

I disagree, I don't recall me doing any grammar mistake in my posts for about two years or at least an year

BTW the Found Raynor thread brings back memories...using Duran's quote from Dark Origin to dazzle Gradius ...ah

don't be such a douche bag, the guy is at least trying and he came a long way, and his ''atrocious grammar and sentence structure'' aren't that bad at all, i have seen much much worse things that i could understand so i don't get it why you can't understand him... :(

x2 Im 23 now :p... Definitely good to see some old school SC1 players here though

I started with WC2 which my brother played on Kali before the Bnet edition came out. That was what got me into RTS, blizzard and gaming in general. I also played D1 and especially D2/LOD. Never got into WC3 or WoW though as I refuse to play WC until blizzard makes another RTS for it.

I started here around 2002-2003, freshmen year in college. Did a google search on StarCraft, and this was one of the sites that popped up. The good ol' days, with no member registration and the ridiculous long discussion topics in yellow text. I left SCL for a while after I researched everything and moved over to Blizzforums, but then came back.

I've been around for a long time but I'm not entirely sure how long. All I really know is that I was on SC:L before BlizzForums, and hopped from there to BF and then here. Of course, I've always been a lurker if only because I rarely ever post.

Heh, well I'm a newcomer from mid 2009. I played SC starting the 2000s and lurked the Wikia on 2007. That's where I saw most of the extenal links lead to here so I payed a visit. Got hooked on first day.

I'm a noob compared to everyone else here. I started lurking around here since 2006 but only joined up this year.

I've also been here since the beginning :p. I used to come here for the fanart, but also for SC news in general, even though I didn't follow the pro scene at the time :].

I also remembered the epic transcript of dialogue in the entire game, which is still here today along with its newly-added SC2 cousin :p.

I lurked since 2001, joined Blizzforums in 2007 or 2008, and joined SCLegacy with the relaunch or whatever that was a couple years back.

I also like how SCL didnt change their site layout that much. The navigation setup is pretty much the same as it was 10 years ago. Blizzard changed for the worse, im glad SCL didnt!

Lurked in...00/01? I can't really remember. I just remember my friend Talith saying that Legacy was the best SC site around and I would check it out every few days.

...Disappeared until I got more interested in SC2.

I have discovered and joined BlizzForums by means of SCL at the very end of 2008, and then migrated here once the SCL forums were set up again with the new version of the site. As for SCL itself, I first discovered it sometime in 2001, but I haven't posted on any forums back then (I'm not even sure I had an e-mail address or knew what a chat program was, those were the days... :D).

Beta key parasite here. (spring/summer 2010)
