Summary:
-There are 19 missions and 2 secret missions in this draft for the Terrans, and a mini-campaign of 3 missions for Zeratul and the Protoss
-Named characters can apparently die without resulting in mission failure, which opens different side quests and alternate endings, and deaths are apparently carried over to the next campaign!
-There is a mission to steal an artifact from both the Kel-Morians and the Umojan Protectorate. The later faction’s mission introduces a “surprise” air unit called the Sentinel which is described as “a hybrid of Protoss and Terran technologies” and will give the player a “real run for their money.”
-The relationship between the Umojan Protectorate and the Protoss Furinax(?) tribe will be explored further in the Legacy of the Void expansion
-Stukov is a prisoner of Raynor’s and has a “posh brig cell with a sizable supply of cigars.” Stukov is emo and won’t help Raynor
-Mengsk has his son named Valerian killed by an unnamed ghost for betraying the family by hiring Raynor
-When the player has all 5 total Xel’naga artifacts they “hatch beings of light that resemble whales more than birds” which “collect all the Protoss and Zerg units and remove them from the map in a blinding flash.” If Stukov dies before the artifacts hatch this leads to the bad ending (below)
-The Protoss missions consist of getting Zeratul through a full-fledged Zerg invasion of Terran space and back to Shakuras to warn the Protoss about what he “found on the other side of the wormhole” (haven’t seen this elaborated on)
-There is a mission about a ghost named Nova, who starts the mission working AGAINST Raynor but the player can have her change her mind. If she tries to stop Raynor the player gets to use her as a mercenary later. If Nova tries to help Raynor then the player loses access to her and gets two free upgrades
-There are three endings, two are very different from each other and one is a slightly different variation
-two of the endings involve Raynor and Stukov reversing Kerrigan’s infestion! If Tosh is alive, he, a guy named Ramsey, Findlay, and Horner (guys from Blizzcon movies I think?) kidnap Kerrigan, otherwise Raynor is holding her hand and smiling at her when the credits roll. What the player is left with though is why the Zerg aren’t rampaging out of control without their queen…
-The other ending has Kerrigan die at “our boy Jimmy’s hands.” The Zerg control question still comes up. Not as cool imo
-one secret mission is about Duran and Tosh where Tosh tries to kill Duran but fails
-The other is about a squad of UED who are trying to build a communications relay to contact Earth and call for reinforcements
