If Zerg were to infest Earth, what do you guys think they would infest? And humans are excluded from infestation. Is there any animal that would be of any use to the zerg when infested?
They could infest cheetah for incredible fast scouts or hunters.:p
Or bats could become the new sonar detectors for the Zerg :)

I would imagine something like a very venomous reptile or spider.
Granted lurkers already fill the spider role (albeit trap-door spiders, but spiders nonetheless), so I could imagine infested komodo dragons.
It would be unique, that's for sure.
There's also a species of either jellyfish or polyp that is effectively immortal, which could also be a useful trait to assimilate, even if the creatures themselves aren't used on the battlefield.
They'd invest cows. Don't you realize that ALL alien life forms are first drawn to cows?
Tardigrades. Tiny but tough. You wouldn't have infested tardigrades, though, just have their tough genes spread out amongst the various zerg strains.
Poisonous snakes, because holy crap, the hydralisks inflict a poison debuff as well as doing damage! And queens! And ... almost everything!
If they could harvest DNA from fossils...

Basilisk. How else are they going to travel efficiently over 70% of the Earth's surface?
Gibbons, Eagles, Adders, Hyenas, Octopus, Sharks, Dolphins, Wolves.

They won't be getting anywhere near my pet dragon...
They wouldn't bother infesting predators on the grounds that most of the Zerg's warrior breeds are far tougher and more deadly than them. At best, cheetahs for their speed. If anything's to be infested, I reckon it'd be whales (for transport) and sharks (as escorts). As far as we know, the Zerg don't have anything specifically evolved towards an aquatic environment. Certainly, the ability to attack from the sea would be a useful option when attacking a position.
