yes you have to grind your way back up.
It doesn't take long, after consecutive wins against a certain set of players, the system will match you against a higher tier person.
I screwed up my placements and got into gold, I'm pretty close to getting into diamond right now...
I got into gold, beat 2 guys in a row with a rush and then I played some plat/diamonds and got upgraded to platinum. All in 4 games.
If you truly belong in plat and are placed in bronze it shouldn't take long to get promoted.Quote:

It doesn't take long. A couple of my friends went from gold to diamond in less than 20 games.
I realized that it's much much more fun crushing those newbs and a good lesson when I was up against unexpected during bronze league games, I easily ranked up to silver as my sig shows
Just relax, and have some easy wins, then get more serious when you get in the higher leagues again :)
In fact, they never said they were going to reset anything, but i bet that even if they don't have scheduled resets, they are going to do it after some patches.Quote:

I could see them resetting your league placement but not your achievements. That would be crazy.
There is no way to replay the placement matches. But if you really belong in a higher rank then you'll get there in no time
Yeah...I goofed my placement matches up real good too. Won 2, lost 3. One of those I got cheesed so bad. Dude sneaked a warp gate right into my main. My rax had one marine on the way and here comes two zealots right into my mineral line. G f-ing G. :(
I'm having fun though in bronze. Ranking up nicely. :)
I went 3-2 for my 4v4 matches and still got in plat. Just play your ass off in the final game and see how you go.
Okay, I guess I'll just grind through bronze.
Letting someone borrow your account is probably a EULA violation anyway. Think of it this way: Would you let someone borrow your expensive car, or something else valuable to you?
The "grind" should "only" take 35 games. I wish you luck.
lol, thats probably not the best example. I couldn't tell you how many times people I know were allowed to drive really nice cars owned by someone else. It isnt probably a EULA violation, it is one. Letting someone take a test drive on your game isnt really all that bad, but blizzard fought hard to stop pirating and keeping you on one account was just part of it. Yes, people are pissed off about having to pay for multiple games for family to play, but with sc2 breaking records, it must be working...Quote:

I remember the cheese being horrible in bronze, and when I got promoted to Silver I was happy to get out of those cheese matches and play semi normal games.
