How is he a villain? Did you even play the game?

And no, Tosh won't 'come back from the dead' because he's never going to be talked about again. That's the decision Blizz made when they decided players should choose other characters' fates.

And I wouldn't even call him more extreme then Raynor.
Sure, he looks and acts like some wodoo mambo-jumbo dude, but what has he done to undermine his credibility, apart from hiding parts of his past ("we all have secrets mr Raynor")

OK, he is not the type of guy Raynor would hang out in a bar, but sure is a guy with whom Raynor would ally himself.
Tosh is yet to show his psycho side, and I don't think he would use it on Raynor, unless Raynor would betray him.

I mean in the sense Tosh also hates Mengsk and wants to bring down the Dominion. He's just more....well, extreme, about it.

In the behind the scene DVD for Collector's Edition it is said that Raynor decided to help Tosh, and allying with Nova was an alternative that he *could* go for, so it seems rescuing New Folsom prisoners is canon.

There's also an upcoming novel about spectres, where Tosh is one of the main characters, which further confirms that the above choice is in fact canon.

So it's not that unlikely that Tosh won't come back in the expansions, possibly in some minor role (like Nova or Mira Han).

Here is the quote I was referencing; "You will see that better future Matt, but it won't be for the likes of us."

I don't agree, and here's why: Morality is all about where you choose to draw the line between what you can and can't do. Their revolution is about building a better tomorrow and the only thing that stand between them and Mengsk is their ideals. By choosing to side with Tosh you are one step closer to being another Mengsk, because you say that no matter who they are, no matter what they have done, as long as their fire in the same direction as you, you will accept it.

Except, it was an unsubstantiated rumour that was later proven to be false.
