I think StarCraft II will get a 9.
FF XIII made me feel unsatisfied, im praying that Versus is epic.
MGS4 was actually nice, the plot is hard to follow because you need to know what happens in all the other ones.
GameSpot WAS good until they fired an editor for a bad review
I've played every MGS multiple times (even the GC remake) and I've played the original NES crap fest. I STILL thought MGS4 was crap.
Not much I can say then, you sir are entitled to your opinion :)
@Tychus,
Word up mang! Can't wait to get in some epic ones!
MGS 4 tried very hard to throw some Jerry Bruckheimer epicness and tear jerkers at you in high doses. Underneither all of that though the game was flawed beyond repair. Linear gameplay, horrible load times despite COUNTLESS unnecessary installs etc.
those installs and loadtimes were just sloppy work by Kojima, i mean Uncharted 2 was load free -.-
Well I am not bashing the console by any means. I just found it annoying that I had to install the chapters and then REINSTALL them if I wanted to backtrack or start over. I don't care who was at fault for it. =P
Most of the games I play are competitive cross platform anyway. Ex: Street fighter 4 and such.
How cliche and annoying can DS get? Lets see!
"You cannot review a game that isn't complete. And SC2 is nowhere near complete."
Because I'm a douche. You're welcome.
DS, someone has to play that role otherwise forums would become obsolete. ;)
I must agree, Croshaw for the win!
Do realize, he's going to tear StarCraft 2 limb-from-limb. I'd avoid his review for a couple of weeks so you can have fun before your favorite game is thrashed back into reality.
It is a shame he doesn't enjoy multiplayer games more. It really does hold back his potential.
I guess you must really love Saints Row 2 then. Can't wait for part 3 :D
Also, yeah, let's say nothing below 8.5 . Someone is bound to score below 9. Of course, hefty storytelling, varied missions and gorgeous CGI will help keeping those to a minimum ;)
Oh yeah, and you reminded me of Men in Black: so hyped that I was severely let down. Years later, I rewatched and found it to be quite entertaining but back in the cinema... letdown-drama :p
Zero Punctuation is going to tear SC2 a new one. I hope he bashes the Macro Mechanics :D
He will definitely sway my decision to buy the game. Serious.Quote:

Haha... he won't. Simply because he'll go nowhere near the multiplayer. And from what Blizz said the missions will be widely varied so very little hasty base building to survive.
Plus there's always the easy setting. I think he'll like it, all while heavily ranting :D
Yahtzee gave Super Mario Galaxy 2 a bad review. He's retarded.
Can you be more of a fanboy? I'm honestly curious. I've seen some brain-dead fanboys in my time on System Wars but I always assumed it was an act.
People actually feel this way?
Only game I've ever seen Yahtzee favorably review was Portal. Which, don't get me wrong, was a great game...but not nearly a standout game based on how short it was in my opinion. I mean if you get less time out of a game than you would watching a movie then it doesn't go down as exceptional in my opinion.
The man's funny as hell tho. His review for Red Dead Redemption had me in tears.
what no, im just saying that crap on purpose lmao.
i rly dont care about system wars, i just hate fanboys especially when they talk pointless crap -.- although i dislike nintendo's crappy business practices this time around.
I dont understand the Portal hype at all...maybe im just retarded?
I credit Nintendo with keeping counsel gaming alive in the eighties. Especially after Atari got out of the counsel business altogether. If not for Nintendo, we might not have had the Sega's, Sony's and Microsoft's later on. At least, not in their current forms. The gaming landscape would be quite a bit different today without Nintendo.
I'll always, always have a soft spot in the old ticker for the Big N.
First console for me was SNES :) Nintendo shot themselves in the foot by saying no to Sony for a join console. Ever since then they have been 2nd rate in my eyes - they have some fun games but i mean my sis has a Wii and collects dust.
ON TOPIC: I predict HipHopGamer will give the game a 12/10! (i have no idea who that is)
Yahtzee doesn't play Multiplayer, and the way SC2 campaigns set up atm, I find it hard to believe any casual gamer wouldn't like it.
If you read that review as a bad review, idk what to say. It was a mediocre review for a mediocre game.
Honestly, I just think you're blaming the game for not optimizing itself into a form in which you do not suck at.Quote:
StarCraft 2 beta did not, and we'll see how I feel after I play the full game.
omg finally something we agree on :/. Its like the bastard child between Final Fantasy and a Clint Eastwood film, and then they surgically removed the awesomeness inherited due to relationship with Clint Eastwood.
I'm excited for the 3DS.
Killzone 3D looked interesting too, but no thanks Sony, don't feel like paying outta the ass for your TV.
