I took a ton of screenshots, but I think this is by far the most interesting. It looks like an artificial planet, aka Xel'naga worldship. Thoughts?
I don't know how many times I've watched it, but it's been 1hr 30 min.
New Folsom is a hollowed out planet hundreds of times the size of a battlecruiser?

If I do, then they're called high standards... man.
Seriously though, I'm sure you understand that the whole point of a trailer is immersion. That's how it reels you in. Now what happens if the different parts of a movie aren't coherent? Well that immersion is gone.
I won't comment more on the "you've got serious problems man"...
Maybe I was unclear but I'm saying that when compared to a true budget movie trailer, this one looked cheap because it's a compilation of two completely different things put side by side. That they aimed for something their product (the trailer, not the game), wasn't meant to be.
I personally find it very odd that so few people were bothered by this senseless mash-up, or maybe some are thinking "better than nothing".
Maybe it's because I'm already pretty hyped about the game, but this didn't hype me any more.
Before you start quoting my above words: this is an OPINION.Quote:
I fail to see how it wasn't. You're gonna need to give me some argument here, not just lay it down as fact. ;)
I've said explicitly what parts of the video I didn't like, and I've provided elements one could compare such a video to (both in the cinema -just type trailer in youtube- and gaming industries -I picked D2-. I'm not really sure what more I can do.
I'm not looking for über graphics, that's not what blizzard is famous for. I'm looking for great designs, animations and situations. This was 2 out of 3, which isn't bad, but fell short for me because the lack of coherence. I didn't expect this was something Blizzard would do, but clearly they've got great marketing since they've pleased the numbers while cutting the cost (it's still an expensive game, and an expensive trailer, but it could have been even more so if they had perfected the trailer).
It's ok for our opinions to differ, but I repeat that I felt this was sub-par, and I don't think my expectations are a major factor in this impression.
No he isn't. He's saying that he thinks they were sub par, and you disagree and are jumping on the argumentation wagon, trying to prove him wrong when you can't and when the expectations are obviously different.
I think Xyviks points are rather clear (and I agree with many of them), but so what if he describes each part he thought was ugly? You'll say they weren't and he'll say they were.I'm afraid your question was a bit fruitless, as is your follow-up. I acknowledge your opinion though, just disagree.
