I installed the patch, and it said it was succesful. It even updated the game version. However, when I try to log in it says my version of the game is unrecognized by battlenent. Is anyone else getting this error?
I think everyone is getting this error.
lets hope something is done.. Terran nerfs, (id LOVE a tank smart-firing removal, thats the biggest issue in the game now) and maybe make zealot buildtime back to normal?
No patch notes? Is there a surprise hidden in it?
I did see Adjutant Tutorial in the game patch. Perhaps we are getting a tutorial on how to play terran.

Thing's I noticed:
Either I screwed something up or they removed the research req for burrow!!! That's huge!
Timings are back to prepatch - creep tumor is 15s, barracks is 60s etc etc.
Zerg look a bit darker but that could be just me.
Mac performance massively improved (I saw a bunch of GLShaders being copied into the game, my performance has gone back to 1920x1200 at medium)
That's a core game mechanic, and isn't a problem. Makes things more predictable.
They given 60dmg with splash against all units for the Siege Tank, however. That's a lot, and kills a group of small units like there's no tomorrow. Big units are affected like always, so it's very powerfull.

I'd also like to add that a bunch of new shaders were installed for mac users. Game is now vastly faster.Quote:

I'm lovin' the balance changes :D It's been a long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long time since I've seen an agreeable buff. I feared I would never live to see one again.

@Wankey, any idea how much of a performance increase? I know you were running a 8600M macbook pro? I won't have time to test this patch out for a little while but I haven't been able to play beta at all on my computer! It was so bad.

Huge, I am back to playing the game on my 1920x1200 external monitor with low shaders, high physics, high texture, high models, 2D portrait, medium terran, and a slew of other things.
Shaders are key to performance though, my 8600 has crappy shader performance 9600 should have double my shader performance and the new 330m processor has a lot better shader performance as well. But I'd suggest you push it down to low shaders to get incredibly smooth gameplay.
Sweet! Can't wait to test it out! I noticed bnet doesn't recognize my version either… I guess i am not missing out on anything yet

Yeah I was forced to play on my gaming PC, dammit the game looks 1000x better but oh well, I do no work on my gaming PC lol.
Aw rats! I was hoping that the Neural Parasite timed duration was a bug :(. I think that having it requiring researched and costing 100 Energy is enough to warrant Neural Parasite lasting indefinitely, unless the Infestor loses control or the target moves out of range. :(
