Games people should check out
I recently just finished a couple newer games that people may or may not like, but here are my recommendations.
Metro 2033: 9.5/10 -
+ Awesome story line
+ Bone chilling suspense around every corner
+ Action packed cutscenes
+ Good controls
+ DX11 ready(Still looks amazing in DX9)
+ Sound portrays the atmosphere of the game perfectly
- No multiplayer
- Not many replayable qualities
If you want to spend money on a game before SC2 this should probably be it if you like FPS's.
Transformers War for Cybertron: 8.5/10 - (This is purely based off the Single player mode not the multiplayer)
+ Great graphics
+ Tons of weapons to choose from
+ Incorporates many of the original transformers characters
+ 3 different playable characters for each stage
+ Long epic battles against several enemies
+ Some recognizable voice acting to fans of the series
+ Great sound
+ Simple but well done controls
- Repetitive
- Simplistic boss fights (Boss attacks and you have to dodge then spawns a wave of enemies afterwards exposing a weak point which you have to hit repeat x3 etc.)
Overall a good game for anyone a fan of transformers, however still feels like just another shoot em up. If you are into that sort of thing then go pick this one up it's probably one of the better ones on the market.
Alpha Protocol: 5.5/10 - ( I apologize to anyone in advance who loves this game)
+ RPG and stealth is a nice combination
+ Several "classes" to choose at the start which directly affect conversational options and abilities
+ Good controls
+ Replayable Qualities
+ Original SEGAAAAA thing from the old console at the start
- Aiming reticule is huge...so huge that it takes any skill away from aiming
- Stiff voice acting
- Mediocre Graphics
- Unoriginal Plot
It hurt me to play through this one. It felt like playing a really bad version of mass effect. So if you really feel like getting Alpha Protocol and don't have Mass Effect 2 i highly recommend you go out and buy Mass Effect 2 before even considering this game.

Mass Effect got tons of "DA BEZT GAME EVAR" awards, and I've heard second part is much better in every way.
And my friend, who have played tons of games throughout his life, considers ME as a must-play by all means. And second part even more. :D
I'd advise to play... no, not yet ready for this.

Not ready to recommend any game.
Not that any human from SCL is ready for the game I have in mind. :D
Though I'd still like to recommend "Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia".
Dead Space is a beast of quality, but not too pleasant to play with it's over suppresive atmosphere for a videogame. :)

Played it. It's pretty awesome. One of the best ds game but I'm kinda biased since I love Castlevania (can't wait for the new one!).
The last games I played that I can remember were Dawn of war 2, Final Fantays 13, Battlefield bad company 2 and Red Alert 3.
I really don't recommend Dawn of war 2 to anyone. This game is total garbage. I just hate how so many developers are trying to remove base building out of rts so that players concentrate more on stuff that I personally find boring (squad management). It's sad because Dawn of war 1 was great!
5/10 (mostly because Warhammer is a cool universe even if the game is bad)
I'd recommend Red Alert 3 though. The game is not as balanced as Starcraft but it's a lot of fun if you're a rts player. The game also has a nice soundtrack as well as lots of humor.

Final Fantasy 13 is one of the worst Final Fantasy I ever played. The story is weird and doesn't make much sense. The levels are completely linear and boring for the most part until you reach the later chapters and even then, it's still not as enjoyable as other Final Fantasy. The leveling system is o.k. but I'd rather see Square Enix stick with more conventional stuff. In any case, it doesn't offer as much customization as the one in Final Fantasy 10 which is the most similar leveling system you could find. The music is freaking terrible for the most part. There's a couple of decent songs in there but it's usually more of a yawn fest. Somehow though, I managed to finish the game after like 45 hours. I really don't know what pushed me to finish it though. I'd recommend the game only to hardcore rpg players (but mostly only to jrpg players)

Battlefield bad company 2 is awesome. I you're a multiplayer shooter fan, this game is a must. Do not buy the game if you intend to only play the single player campaign though because it's pretty boring and also pretty short.

+ "Cover system" provides more cunning strategies to eliminate enemies
- No base building
- Leader unit can constantly heal allies making it almost too easy
- Boss fights take too long to finish due to their large quantities of health
- Only 3 races are included in game
- Campaign is primarily limited to only the Space Marine faction
- Mediocre sounds
- Cover System control very hard to manage
5/10 i totally agree with you it was garbage. Instead of picking up dawn of war 2 you should pick up company of heroes. The combat was the same idea except they actually had buildings and unit producing structures.

Playing it on the easiest difficulty, I have yet to get to the first save point. ^^

I started it months ago.
Today, after 2000+ deaths, after almost smahing my laptop in frustration, after being reduced to tears several times and almost tearing a hole in my wall; I have finally reached the final boss, on hard difficulty.
Now let's just see how many days it takes me to finish it :S
