Re: Real Names will not be required for Blizzard forums (We did it!)
Archer's real name is Duchess.
:D
i was going to be surprised if Blizzard went through with it even after Bashiok's mess.

Spychi must be wearing diapers then.
I always liked Morhaime and how he's evolved over the years. I'm sure he said a large say in this, along with poor Bashiok almost getting kicked out of his mother's house. :)

OT: Yup I make my own sigs :).
Nice, would you mind creating me a sig with Zerathul in it, if it isn't too hard for you of course.
But yes, a sweet victory indeed.

I wish I could live in your town :p. Children and other teens are extremely obnoxious, and are pretty rebellious here where I am. (Though I'm being quite the hypocrite, since I'm basically the same way, hehe.)
Anyway, yay for no use of real names! And now we won't get those 50 year old men posing as little girls stalking us.

It can make it very difficult to prove you are who you say you are if you have account issues however.

*Happy with Glee*
This proves that blizz is infact NOT deaf. Or dead.
Re: Real Names will not be required for Blizzard forums (We did it!)
Our time has come. For three hundred years we prepared, we grew stronger. While you rested in your cradle of power. Believing your people were safe, and protected...
Re: Real Names will not be required for Blizzard forums (We did it!)
I am pretty sure that when Blizzard merged in with Activision that several clauses and stipulations were brought to the forefront prevent interference from Activision. Blizzard is a much larger company now then they once were. I personally believe that if they truly didn't care about the fans, we would have seen a lot more atrocious acts that would far surpass the RealID crisis.
On a side note, I do think it was cool that the entire blizzard community came together to have said issue retracted.
Re: Real Names will not be required for Blizzard forums (We did it!)
We the community care for our games.

To me, this shows that moderation is the best method of creating a create community as opposed to things such as real names.
I don't think it's moderation here that's making our little fringe world so nice. (lol)
I believe it's actually about the kind of people that go on here. Our demographic, the kind of people we are and look for, aren't trolls or excessively disrespectful people. Yes, we've had our fair share of troubles with a few members who I shall not name (though they're actually still respectable people, unlike the BNET trolls or a good amount of BNET posters), bots, and I think some invading trolls, but no real major problems otherwise.
SCLegacy folks, you can pat yourself on the back, you're all great, friendly, respecful and respectable people. I love it here!
Re: Real Names will not be required for Blizzard forums (We did it!)
@Alex06: without good moderation, the trolls and what not would be here just like they are everywhere else which would result in most people either leaving or turning into assholes in defense.

You bumped this for that?
China has no political effect on America. If China was pressuring Blizzard then they would alter the Chinese version; not all of them.
