Based on the appearance of some of these Infested Terrans, I think they may in fact be going the way I thought they would; that is to say, one of these (the one with the tumor) clearly has eyes that are not glowing. In fact he seems totally self-possessed. Another one of these is called an Aberration, and is far more beastly than other Infested Terrans we've seen so far.
I think there will be a faction of Zerg that may grow independent of Kerrigan's will; perhaps a group of Infested Terrans that regain their humanity but are damned by their hideously deformed bodies. Kind of like the Forsaken in WarCraft.
That sounds like a horrible idea. I would hate for that to happen. But it does sound like a terrible idea Blizzard would use. Forsaken and Dreani come into mind. Crashing landing on Azeroth from Outland? I'm not sure if cliche is the right word, but thats what it sounds like. Infested Terrans should not regain their humanity. Let Kerrigan have control of all the zerg. I Don't want some lame side story put in there that all it does is delude the story with characters you would never care for. Why would I want to see infested terrans over Kerrigan or raynor, or someone already in the story.
/facepalm
I'm guessing they are gonna be part of the zombie mission. Probably some sort of virus outbreak or something. No heavy impact on story. Just a tool for gameplay. I wouldn't put too much thought into it.
Remember Kerrigan was working on genetic manipulation, to make the Zerg something much more
Aberration though seems like a failed Duran Hybrid and the awful Infested Terran variants may be Kerrigan's products or failures
Actually having a new faction of Zerg would be a great idea as long as they remain evil. Something i think they should do, if Kerrigan's time as an evil super-being is limited.
Dranei's intro to WoW was necessary, lore-wise Blizz couldnt avoid introducing a race so integral to past events of the Burning Legion. Forsaken were also a no brainer, the story always set up how many of the Undead hated being under evil control.
