The first time I saw it I thought of Aldaris.

Good I am not the only one who thought that
Aldaris as an avatar of the Voice in the Darkness while Tassadar ascends to be one with the Khala and returns as an Archon...
Perfectly fitting, actually. Assuming both are true
I doubt it's Aldaris, but I thought I could see some details in the face, like a light speckling, and wondered if they were scales. I passed a few filters over it, but the picture's just too dark. Nothing came of it.
The only thing that keeps me from saying 100% the Dark Voice is not Aldaris is 1) We're not entirely sure it is The Voice in the Darkness 2.) The eye shape and color are very similar.
Yeah... yeah, does make it obvious...
I say there's no real connection. It's just pareidolia at work.
when i saw the eyes i thought of Aldaris however wen i stare at the shadows i get the feeling it's a Hybrid leader
OR
Duran's Boss? I actually like this theory more.
I thought it was alradis cause of the shape of the shadow not the eyes, just me tho
When you think about it it makes sense. Let's assume for a moment that the VitD is indeed going to be a major antagonist of SC2. What better Protoss to use as a figurehead for attacking Shakuras than Aldaris? Tassadar has no body to use, Raszagal's corpse is probably lying somewhere on Char or else was taken by Zeratul to who-knows-where.
That leaves Aldaris, who is the former voice of the Conclave and a Judicator, and as such is both a symbol of the homeland and past traditions the Khalai Protoss abandoned, and a symbol of the dogmatic Conclave that persecuted and exiled the Dark Templar. I really couldn't think of a better visage to adopt to Mind Screw the Protoss while destroying them. Sure Kerrigan is the enemy, but the Voice is about corruption, so it'd be more likely to assume a Protoss visage just to mess with their heads.
