Which is like saying all units need a "Immortal Sheild" to counter units like Tanks. The PDD needs to be effective against certain units and that's that.

Or you know, move your hydralisks closer manually:)Quote:
That means there should be a way to turn the units into "meele-mode" to counter point defence drones!
Also, doesn't the PDD stop carriers as well?
Anyways, back on topic: I'd like a landing animation for when you drop/load units in a medivac or an overlord. It just piss me off to see units teleport in them. I would also like seeing Terran units come out of the buildings where they are made, not just teleport outside like they currently do.
I would also like a redesign of the hydralisk attack animation... The current one is just lame in my opinion.
Nobody on earth would actually move hydralisks to melee range to counter PDD. If they would, Blizzard would have sacrificed congruency for gameplay. The only reason it exists right now is because nobody would actually take advantage of it because it isn't worth it.
Or maybe gameplay doesn't make a lot of sense lore wise and realism wise?Quote:

I'm pretty sure not all terran units are manufactured right outside the battlefield .
I want to see a mini mushroom cloud when you destroy an nuclear armed Terran Ghost Academy. I also want to see more death animations for stalkers and Mutalisks.
Depends what you are facing really but I agree that in a lot of cases it would be pretty useless.
True but that doesn't mean they can't try to add more realism if it is possible to do so. It doesn't have to take 5 minutes for the units to go out, they can do it really quickly. Think about how zerg units hatch. It's a pretty similar concept. As for the drophships/overlord, they already take the time to fold the thor so that it can fit on the medivac so I don't see how a medivac landing would be a problem.Quote:

One more thingy: what about cliff-jump/hover animations for most light units?
Just for UMS because making most units with walk animations fly just looks awkward.
Imagine Ghosts doing the superman fly pose, zealots the dragonball-Z fly, thors/marines/firebats with boosters, hydas with wasp-wings. LOL, helions with speedracer mach-5 jumpers!
oops sorry didnt see that. anyways to be honest im not a big fan of transport units having an animation corresponding to the unit its carrying. because i would enjoy doing some thorship feints and dropping one that they dont see. maybe they should make it so only allies can see it?
Actually it does. Blizzard hasn't created a precedent for realism in SC2. No aspect of gameplay makes remote sense in terms of lore, or even physical plausibility and logic. Armies don't literally mine minerals and build their entire force right next to each other, not by any stretch of the imagination, or established in game lore (except Zerg).Quote:

Games should go out of their way to make things realistic when realism is a goal in itself. Rainbow Six might deliberately go out of their way to make something realistic. It clearly isn't a remote goal in an abstract RTS like Starcraft 2.
(Note: I'm specifically referring to the Zeratul cloaking thing. All you're suggestions are fine because they don't particularly go against any established in game mechanic significantly. )
