Re: Propaganda Contest: Meaning of Facebook Messages
You Have Been Chosen To Become a
THOR PILOT
The Dominion military is always in search of brilliant individuals capable of formulating complex battle strategies. You are not one of these people. But if there's one thing we've learned over the years, it's that sometimes you just need someone who likes to smash things. From your test results, you're a perfect fit for this role. What better way to satisfy your borderline psychotic thirst for destruction than in the comfy pilot seat of one of the Dominion's most powerful weapons to date: the Thor! With this neosteel behemoth at your command, you'll be given free rein to obliterate as many of our enemies' air and ground forces as your uncaring little heart desires. Leave any notions of finesse behind you -- if you had any in the first place -- and report to the nearest recruitment center on Korhal IV immediately.
RaWRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thor is Here!

Re: Propaganda Contest: Meaning of Facebook Messages
I was a firebat too.
Apparently we're destructive and self-destructive... so we're basically suicide bombers or violent crackheads in present society

Re: Propaganda Contest: Meaning of Facebook Messages
I love it. Blade Runner reference:
You’re alone in the desert and you see a tortoise laying on its back, belly baking in the hot sun. It can’t flip over, not without your help, but you’re not helping. Why is that?
Damn Blizzard, this game will be f'ing amazing.

Re: Propaganda Contest: Meaning of Facebook Messages
I got a great idea for a propaganda poster but can't draw worth crap. Show a bunch of marching SCVs with Vespene Tanks in their claws marching forward from the right, and other SCVs with mineral chucks marching from the left. Across the top have the following:
Do you love the way your reflection looks in clear blue crystal?
Do you just not feel complete without oil smudges on your face?
Do you enjoy feeling productive for your government regardless of pay?
Then under the marching SCVs, have this in big letter with the second line under it as a subtitle.
The Dominion SCV Corps.
-Because even battlefields need janitors-

I think the "Do you..." are too long and there are too many of them.

My guess is that they just manually manipulate progress, there isn't any code in place.

How about...
Like your reflection on a blue crystal?
Don't mind a few oil smudges?
Passionate about production (regardless of pay)?

Re: Propaganda Contest: Meaning of Facebook Messages
Well, to the other non-Ghosts *cuff* *cuff*...
It says you can apply to submit a Dominion propaganda, since Im bored I made a poster...a good one, in my limited and expierence-less point of view...but here it is for anyone interested
EDIT: Picture is in link above
-
Re: Propaganda Contest: Meaning of Facebook Messages
It has to be original artwork doesn't it? I don't think you can use stuff that Blizzard has released.
-
Re: Propaganda Contest: Meaning of Facebook Messages
A Viking Pilot, I am !
:D
Vive La Revolution!!
-
Re: Propaganda Contest: Meaning of Facebook Messages
well, it said originial artwork referring to the poster, so i dont see its worng. and if it is, they simply cancel my entry. there is no problem, since there are better and more original entries

Ah...I was thinking more of a Uncle Sam poster, but SC2 style. Can't say no to Uncle Sam. Or perhaps one of those Hitler like photos, but replace it with a Zerg/Toss/Raynor...I dunno. I probably get one of my friends to whip something up.

And I was thinking of the Uncle Sam but one word came to mind:
Over-kill

Re: Propaganda Contest: Meaning of Facebook Messages
No no, make a Nazi poster with the Dominion insignia in place of the swastika on combat shields and banners and the like, with Mengsk with an armband wit the insignia on it.
-
Re: Propaganda Contest: Meaning of Facebook Messages
Kind of a bummer for me. Got an SCV and I'm once again forced to remind myself that I can't draw decently.:(
-
Re: Propaganda Contest: Meaning of Facebook Messages
I thought I was all original and awesome and made this
http://obamiconme.pastemagazine.com/...png?1276660524
Then I saw like 3 others with the exact same thing ;_;.
Guess I gotta think of something actually original and requires talent noaw. dammit.

Wow... another marketing scheme... I didn't even know there was a Facebook portion of this and I'm very disappointed they're having people "like" or "share" things in order to get a percentage...
Freakin pathetic...

It's not only facebook stuff that progresses it. Taking the test and submitting a propaganda poster advances it as well.
Anyway, I dug through the CSS and think I found what the first two are.

Though, they say sample so they may just be placeholders.

Re: Propaganda Contest: Meaning of Facebook Messages
Why would the first one beat a repeat? Good work LOL
Anyway, I hope none of you are participating in this contest or I'll hafta tell Raynor on you! :P
