Re: You Gonna Be Good Or Evil?
@flak4321 hmm... either way, did you read what was my opinion about it?

I almost never used battle net with SC1.
Without LAN... I wonder if I'll get used to it.
Either way, I always liked more the story of the campaign and map making than competitive playing.

Yeah... I'm a believer...
My point is that when it comes to a game you don't have to take all the morality and such so seriously because after all you're just playing a game.
But the lesson we can learn from it is that you must remember that any similar situation in real life where you must make that kind of decisions, you must remember that unlike there in the game, in real life there's no reset button, you can't play it again just to see if you can do it better. "Once started there's no going back" in DuGalle's words.
So you must make sure to do your best, try to get your goals, but not being so selfish that (for example) you end up alone.
The game is just great because you can experiment it within a safe environment, you know it's just a game!
I know I'm stating the obvious, but sometimes we tend to forget it...
I'm just like you, another human with errors, with hopes, we all need something to put our faith on... something to believe in. so, I'll just reiterate, dare, dare to believe you can survive.

Re: You Gonna Be Good Or Evil?
@Josue:
I may have taken you a tad too literally, and without considering the culmination of your posts. Upon further review, my point stands as a generality, but I should not have applied it to any single post so directly or so sharply. My apologies for a rare moment of thoughtlessness in my lack of full consideration. Sometimes sharing is as much about how you share as it is what you have to share. ;)
Back on Topic and a clarification in light of the above to all:
What motivates a player toward the good or evil path or both can only be found within. For me, I am naturally "good", so I will start there and fulfill my personal goal/ideal of trying to make Jimmy as good as possible. Curiosity is my motivation to attempt other paths more than anything.
A person's beliefs are powerful motivators in which path he/she may take in game. In correction of/addition to my previous post, beliefs are a form of ideals that are well within a person's means, in game and out. In the end, while we each may choose to share some of our motivations, whatever they may be, criticism, such as my previous post could easily be construed as, is unnecessary and unwarranted.
That said, I find it equally unfortunate that I cannot reword my previous post to better represent my final intent. Do not read it as a criticism of Josue. Read it rather as an attempt to draw a real world parallel to the types of moral/ethical decisions I expect to find in game.
Nice catch Josue. Nice catch. :) I shall dare to believe! :)
Re: You Gonna Be Good Or Evil?
i dont want to say evil...call it utilitarian.
Re: You Gonna Be Good Or Evil?
I'm gonna go good, then evil, then I'm going to do whatever decision seems right at the time.
