Pie vs Cake vs Cookies vs Cinammon Rolls; What's your Favorite?

The last thread was locked for uselessness, how do you think this is gonna go? Albeit it is less spammish, I eagerly await the mods judgment, more than the poll results.

Cake. I just had a discussion like this two days ago too. We did several versus examples like Apple Pie versus Chocolate cake and Pumpkin Pie versus Ice Cream Cake, etc.

Cake, most definitely cake! Nothing like some nice, moist chocolate cake!

All. I don't really care which one you give me, I'll probably eat it.

Although, I'm not entirely fond of the meringue part as it's the lemon part that I like the most.

I agree 100%, but I think it would just be weird to have one without the other ;)
You kinda need that crunch before the awesomness^^

Apple pie, with cinnamon (and perhaps some cloves too).

Cake is too sweet, fluffy and artificial in 99.9 % of the cases.

Cinnamon buns are great too simply by virtue of cinnamon.

The creator of the poll forgot to put in cookies. :p

Cookies>all baked goods, there's no competition if he added cookies. 90% of the time I prefer pie, but cake can be amazing, like short cake.

I like the following cake/cookies/pies:

Pie
-Lemon Pie (Not a fan of meringue to be honest)

Cake
While not a big fan of cake anymore, I do enjoy the following:
-Vanilla
-Lemon/Lime flavored cake

Cookies
-Chewy Chocolate Chip (almost like Pillsbury's)
-Macadamia Nut

Seed cake or pound cake for me. Nothing more complicated than that, I'm allergic to all those overdecorated, 90 % cream 10 % cake affairs. And chocolate, chocolate cakes are the Diabolus in Bakery as far as I am concerned.

As to cookies, oatmeal ones are the best. :D

Oh my god. How could I forget about oatmeal cookies? Those things are awesome! Just please don't raisins in them. I hate raisins.

When I was small, I thought raisins in pastry were small cockroaches accidentally baked into it. So I understand your aversion. :cool:

That's seriously very funny. And now I don't think I'll ever look at raisins the same again...

I remember the first time someone gave me an oatmeal cookie with raisins in it. I yelled at them and threw it back at their face. Needless to say, they learned their lesson.

Aw no! You can't have oatmeal cookies with the raisins! It's oatmeal raisin! I love them.

I have a strong aversion to chocolate which somewhat guides me away from chocolate chip cookies. I can eat a couple, but any more and I get sick. It's not that I'm allergic, it's just chocolate activates my sugar sickness feeling quicker than any other sugary substance. Cakes are also normally way too sweet with all that frosting.

Basically, as long as the original post isn't spam/spam-like and the thread is not only meant to but dues create a discussion, such as it has been doing now, I don't mind it.

I still have no idea which I like better. It all depends on my mood but mostly it depends on the cravings I'm having. I don't get hungry as a normal person would. I eat because I have a craving for something which is also the reason that I don't eat healthy enough.

Good idea... now only if I can put cookies...I will try!

My friend makes the best apple-crumble-pie-thing in existence. I went on an apple picking adventure just to bring her back some and forced her to make it. Beyond that, though, I'm a cake kinda guy.

Pie, but I voted for all.

Bought a jar of honey cookies yesterday. Have to say it, they give most other cookies a run for their money. :cool:

Cookies are in a category all their own. You wouldn't have milk and ice-cream or milk and cup cakes, would you? :D

Actually yes, I would. Because, you know, someone times I crave something but I've already had too much of it. Therefore I use the milk to offset the sugar. :p

Chocolate chip cookies. Hands down!

I used to be like that. I craved salty foods way more than sugary ones for a long time. Now I'm more balanced. I think its because I drink more water now than I did when I was younger.

Live it up. Eat what you want. You may only live once.

I used to just consume everything haha

But ever since I decided to cut out soda completely (I only drink tea,water,coffee but mostly hot tea) I haven't craved desert style foods in the least bit.


Though my favorite desert memory was me consuming a entire newyork style cheesecake (and the sickness afterwords) but it was damn good. I think I still like cheesecake on occasions which is probably the only "cake" I'll eat.

OK, that sounds like an addiction to sugar (but then, who am I to say, I've just bought a large packet of gummi worms so similar charges may be laid at my door as well). :D

Well, it's not so much an addiction to sugar as it is a love for everything that tastes good. I'm a, fine appreciator of foods, if you will. Chicken balls with sweet and sour sauce, teriyaki meatballs, chicken fried rice, burgers, popcorn chicken, kettle-baked chips like Ms. Vickie's, all-dressed Crispers, Jamaican patties, curry chicken, and countless other things that I have yet to mention (those were just all the ones that 'popped up' in my head at the time). :D
