What are the pros and cons of the custom interface?
I am beseeching the SC:L community to assist me in a small task to help me on a personal level.
I know this list isn't complete and that's why this thread exists, I'm missing quite a few important points related to the pros and cons of the B.net CUSTOM INTERFACE. This involves the game selection page, game lobby page, conveniences regarding the usage of the custom games themselves and other miscellaneous parts regarding the use of it.
I'm providing the community a short time offer to help contribute to a project you are unaware as of yet. We may take information you provide to help us further. This is a limited time thread and it's your opportunity to contribute. To put this into perspective, I'm talking hours, not days. Thank you ahead of time and please be aware to be respectful to all parties in this thread and keep it constructive while it exists.

Please use the following examples to set an example of an efficient way to respond to this thread:
Code:
2.0 - Pro - You can order food via Pandaren Express
1.0 - Con - Too many smurfs
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you disagree with someone's example of a Pro or a Con, there is no need to discuss it, merely provide a counter pro/con to show the other side. The importance is the brainstorming of ideas, not the realization of which ones are correct or not.
Re: [Requesting Input] Pros and Cons of B.net 1.0/2.0
Let's try it this way, I have removed the lists that were there previously. Clean canvas. Go ahead, you guys have about 3 hours or so.

I'm pretty sure no one is looking for your humorless sarcasm.
Con of B.net 2.0
You can't see your global ranking
PS: When I saw this thread in the index, I actually thought the title was "Requesting Input: Pros and Casuals"
Re: [3 hours remaining] What are the pros and cons?
Thanks for feedback Pandentho, changed name to "[3 hours remaining] What are the pros and cons of the custom interface?"
Re: [3 hours remaining] What are the pros and cons of the custom interface?
Con: Whenever I finish a game I have to jump through a series of interface hoops to find out what level oponent I was playing....
I mean really. The idea that someone playing another person might possibly want to know what level oponent they just faced after finishing a game. Was that really a hard one to figure out?
Re: [3 hours remaining] What are the pros and cons of the custom interface?
BNET1:
Con: Very hard for new maps to be played (14 out of 15 games are DotA)
Con: Smurfing
Con: Spam Bots
Con: Spoofing
BNET2:
Con: Very hard for new maps to be played (People won't bother scrolling down for a huge map list)
Pro: No limits to friends list (that I know of)
Pro: Interface looks cool
Con: No chat channels (atm)
Con: No way to organize clans/guilds etc (atm)
Con: Can't switch regions
On a completely different note, please respond to my PM Gifted.
Re: [3 hours remaining] What are the pros and cons of the custom interface?
Con: Even with the addition of the back button, browsing through your profile still feels a bit goofy and not as clean and coherent as a well developed web page.
Con: No option to read more tips in the loading screen before a match ( in some other games you can click "show more tips")
Con: No way to whisper to other players that are not on your friend list while playing games (this is important in certain custom games)
Re: [3 hours remaining] What are the pros and cons of the custom interface?
I'll throw one in:
CON B.net 2: Bob joins a game from the map list, however, the game is full and a new lobby is created with him as the host. However, because this process is done all automatically without the user Bob is minimized waiting for the game to start automatically, unaware he is the host. People join the lobby automatically, wait, see nothing, leave, and who knows how many people can be affected. Worse, Bob never maximizes the game, there will be a dead lobby with people joining for who knows how long! I joined one lobby and someone said he's been an afk host for a half hour and everyone was reporting him (he probably had no idea he was a host ever)
Re: [3 hours remaining] What are the pros and cons of the custom interface?
Good notes so far, 1 hour left for suggestions. Many of these I did not have previously, so it's been helpful. Keep it up.
