Yep, and you cant exit the map without using alt + f4 either :P

Pretty impressive really, wonder how they did it.
Nothing could better demonstrate the power of the new editor!
Use this clip next time: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nNoi_wwzbtQ
Haha this is so win, i didn't know you could emb videos in the map, haha the posibilities are endless :D
Fun fact the map is actualy corectly described, In this case DotA stands for Dance of the Astley, not Defence of the ancients. The original uploader said that.
Its only a matter of time before this is use...darnit Gradius!!!!!
You know what? Let's just pretend that I posted a video here on autoplay.
And yes, you know which one I am talking about.
As amusing as this is, it also leads me to some concerns....
Basically the discussion of 'porn'. I wonder if Blizz is going to do something to prevent this sort of thing.
Though I do realize the game is rated M for mature, that's due to smoking, alcohol, swearing and violence. That sort of thing, I don't really censor my kids from too much (depends on how extreme), but my 10 year old daughter plays daily and has become a HUGE fan of the custom games.
She's fully sex aware, but the last thing I need to be worried about is whether some jackass is going to post some hardcore pr0n into their map and call it the newest bestest tower defense.
I can see that conversation going over well..."You see uh hun....the pizza delivery guy, and that girl were on the pool table doing that because...uh...."
It's very intriguing that this is possible, while you can't publish maps if they have words like blow or black in them..
Really goes to show how much potential there is with the Galaxy editor. I can only imagine that over time it's going to get more powerful and the developers are never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down, never gonna run around and desert you.
Very true. While I do not have children, much less brothers or sisters that are very young, I don't want to join a game only to find out that it's some video of two girls doing things that are better left to the imagination and not in a video game. Worse yet, if someone in my household walks in at the exact worst moment, I'm going to have to explain that I'm not trying to watch porn but that I was trying to play a video game.
"What the heck is that?"
"Erm, good question. I guess it's a 'porn map'."
"What?"
"I think it's better that I just *Alt + F4* do that and never speak of this again..."
You see, I have never randomly clicked anything so that has never happened to me. I only go to sites that I know or trust. And if it is something harmful, which most pornographic things are from what I hear as well as the talk about all the Trojans and viruses, Avast! automatically aborts the connection so not only do you not connect, but you don't see anything.
Guess it would make those "strip *****" maps more rewarding....in all honesty I confess I joined such a map one time to see what the hell they were like. I'll say nothing more on the matter.
Joking aside, a rickroll map like this is funny, but porn maps and potentially worse need to be curbed. A possible solution is the ability to report maps to Blizzard for offensive or questionable content. Guess that is one plus of the maps being hosted on their servers, they can control their distribution to positive effect too, not just negative.
Map maturity ratings + Parental control. That is all.
Yeah. Wait till the map developers find out about 2 girls 1 cup.
That would be so epic, yet so damn wrong.
WIN! wow my friend would flip if he had beta and saw this! he loves to rick roll people(but everyone has caught on so doesnt work) when he sees this he will go insane and will probably spaz out about how awesome this is lol.
If this was made im sure Blizzard would take it down instantly due to all the annoyed people who get pranked...and they couldnt confirm yer age so it could also be breaking the 18+ law.
Personally, I am more concerned about other possible exploits that may be discovered within the editor at a later date. Exploits such as Virus/Malware/Trojan integration within the maps etc. I really hope that Blizzard plans to monitor the content of these files somehow.
I can see it ... The perfect way to monetize Bnet2.0
Bobby Kotick: With the expansion of out digital market through the use of Battle.net, we have encountered several areas of opportunity to increase margin for the fiscal year. We will be adding an optional service charge (Insert random BS here)
If anything else, Battle.net 2.0 and the maps we encounter will be nothing short of interesting. Hopefully in a positive manner.
It's simple. I won't be playing maps not advertised or hosted properly on community sites.
I'm not worried about seeing boobs. I'm worried about seeing giant dicks.
Yeah, it got me too.
Am I the only one who sees this as more of an annoyance then humor? It might be cute once or twice, but after awhile this would get quite old...just like the original meme. Kinda hoping Blizzard prevents this sort of crap in the retail editor.
STARCRAFT® II: WINGS OF LIBERTY™ BATTLE.NET ANTI VIRUS SERVICE
IN BATTLE.NET STORES STARTING SEPT 2nd, 2010
IRVINE, Calif. – June 4th, 2010 – Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. announced today that its highly anticipated real-time anti virus service, StarCraft® SHIELD™ Anti Virus Map Service, will arrive in Battle.Net stores throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, Russia, Mexico, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, and the regions of Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau starting on Sept 2nd, 2010. Players will also be able to purchase the Anti Virus Map Program directly from Blizzard Entertainment shortly after the retail launch.
"We've been looking forward to providing a safe game play environment for Battle.Net customers for many years, and we're excited that the time for that is almost here," said Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment. "Thanks to our beta testers, we were rick-rolled and 2 girls 1 cup'd on numerous occasions. We thought that our aggressive stance on removing chat channels and implementing Real Friend ID via Facebook and Email was enough but our testers showed us. We'll be ready to welcome players all over the world to StarCraft II and the new Anti Virus Map program."
Battle.net SHIELD is the Anti Virus service being added to Blizzard Entertainment’s 1994 hit "Battle.Net" service, which has been hailed by players and critics worldwide as one of the most beloved and nostalgic online gaming services. Now sporting a vibrant 3D-graphics engine, Battle.net 2.0 will once again match players randomly with stolen NSA and CIA algorithms, with each side completely dazzled by illogical match making services. Unparalleled and protected online play for StarCraft II will be available through a new version of Battle.net, Blizzard Entertainment's world-renowned gaming service. Battle.net has been redesigned from the ground up to be the premier cash cow for Overlord Kotick, with several enhancements and new features, such as voice communication, no chat channels, illogical leagues and ladders, XBOX LIVE achievements, DOTA stat-tracking, and more.

"Muwhaha!"
Sorry I couldn't resist after reading your post. Bobby Kotick probably wakes up in the middle of the night thinking of a new way to "Monetize" services and provide "Services" to loyal customers.
And um back to topic, I'm sure because the map is linked to your StarCraft battle.net account, serious retribution will occur if you host something viral.
EDIT: But yes, the people who get affected will be burned/pissed. I'm sure there are limits to the map editor..or some sort of safetys in place..
For a second there, I thought that virus thing was real and, for the first time in a long time, I was ready to rant :D Congrats! You caught me after a long day of work :D
