Wow that's some crazy discusion
My favourite game community might actually have been the Rise of Legends community. It wasn't very big, but that's part of the reason why it was so great - everybody kinda knew everyone, and everyone was really friendly (well with the exception of one guy who was a bit of a jerk :p).
And people didn't constantly complain about 'fail design' on the part of Big Huge Games. Sure there were people who felt that there were balance issues, but they were actually appreciative of the great game they were given.
I've posted there like 15 times.... lol
