The "real" way to balance Sc2.
Well we have a lot of "whine" threads of how bad zerg is in need of a buff. This is true for US and Europe players, but for pro-Koreans players they are actaully overpowered.
Source:http://sclegacy.com/news/23-sc2/697-...oper-interview
My idea to this: nerf pro-Koreans.
Reason: In every serious discussion that goes more deeply in the game play pro-korean players are stated just as much counterstatements as like, "nerf immortal my mass roaches can't kill them" but actaully immortals are supposed to counter roaches. Here is another example statements, "phoenixes are in serious need of a buff" then you could reply "have you watched any pro-korean replay lately? phoenixes actually maybe need a nerf.
Ok in the last statements you can counter the immortal with other units, but you can not counter a pro-korean. So imo they need a nerf.

Re: The "real" way to balance Sc2.
I thought Gradius and I were the only ones that thought Phoenixes were very useful and could quite possibly need a nerf.
Welcome to the club!

Re: The "real" way to balance Sc2.
Agreed they should nerf Koreans, or just ban them from battle.net 2 and let them play on the old one, by themself :p

Re: The "real" way to balance Sc2.
OP Koreans ruined SC melee in North America. I fully endorse this thread.

Re: The "real" way to balance Sc2.
The Korean beta results need to be ignored.
They're just throwing the games so their black market sponsors can win bets.

Re: The "real" way to balance Sc2.
If we all drink Boxerthirst ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m7b9o8SSTwc )
we can be just as good as those Korean pros.

Re: The "real" way to balance Sc2.
I've got a six pack of Boxerthirst right beside me right now. Any Koreans wanna 1v1 to the death?

Re: The "real" way to balance Sc2.
Drinking Boxerthirst gave me cancer.

That depends on if you mean that figuratively or literally.

Yah, but their animations sucks very much and I've just started playing terran instead of random :)
The problems with phoenixes is that they require plenty of micro, since I play wc3 and dota thats not really a problem. But I suck at macro and micro at the same time thus it fails :( but the unit itself isn't bad.
OT: So cancer counters koreans ey? Thats why they don't have any older players like Dustin :)
But maybe we need to nerf cancer even more, imo just remove cancer and then nerf pro-koreans.

Re: The "real" way to balance Sc2.
We should just make it so that sc2 is rated 21+ in Korea, and there will be nobody left capable of playing it competitively :D

Re: The "real" way to balance Sc2.
well, from my point of view the zerg players who know to use the infestor are great players
mind control and fungle growth are great
just sayin'

Re: The "real" way to balance Sc2.
Nerf away at Koreans.
Frankly, I'm a bit tired of how SC balance is maintained around some crazy tactic some Korean guy made work.
Good for them, but other people play the game too.

+1 to this thread!
I mean, koreans can be StarCraft Addicts but everyone's got to be able to play this game with ease, those guys are really annoying when it comes to pull seemingly impossible things from the game, doing things that the rest of the mortals can't!

Re: The "real" way to balance Sc2.
This just in.
In order to address recent balancing problems, the Korean Race has received an across-the-board nerf. All StarCraft games sold in Asia will now be incompatible with computer mice, touchpads, and those little nubbin thingies that pop up in the middle of the keyboard.
Instead, Korean players will have to use the keyboard and their webcam to make up for the loss of the mouse. We feel that the following user interface will require very few adjustments before release:
"Right Click" has been replaced with "Blink Right Eye".
"Left Click" has been replaced with "Blink Left Eye".
"Click and Drag" has been replaced with "Close Left Eye and Drag With Right Eye."
"Double Click" has been replaced with "Blink Both Eyes".
Due to eyestrain, playing for more than thirty minutes at a time is not recommended. For optimum performance with certain Korean ethnic features, we recommend widescreen.

Re: The "real" way to balance Sc2.
Honestly this would be an invalid suggestion if it wasn't a weird parody lol. None of the examples you posted actually happen. I can't think of any change in balance that was significant that was a result of a Korean problem. Sure stuff like queens and forge nerf were, but that hardly bothered anyone.

Re: The "real" way to balance Sc2.
Problem: Zerg are Op in Korea. Zerg are UP anywhere other than Korea.
Solution: SHUT UP DEAL WITH IT! :D

Re: The "real" way to balance Sc2.
Perhaps a special "Pro Korean Elite Version" as well as "Medium Skill Level Special Edition" and for the lowest skill levels "StarCraft for Dummies"? All with different balance models. They could do quite a good business with that. :D

You need to lurk at different forums. It takes a while though so I'm not going to do it for you.
You know maybe it's a parody, but it has to come from SOMEWHERE and it does have a little truth in it.
