Really Really Odd Terran Strategy in 2v2

So I was just running a 2v2 with my roommate who happens to be my 2s partner and we ended up playing possibly one of the strangest strategies I've ever come across. It was Zerg Terran vs Terran Terran and basically what they did was attempt to build barracks at our naturals and then send in a bunch of reapers. Needless to say it didn't work at all but I though I would share this with everyone cause it was really really weird. Also we are only in silver league and this definitely wasn't my best game so yeah...

Anyway here is the replay.

Believe it or not, that's not that uncommon at all actually. Double-cheese is really powerfull if it succees, but like all cheeses, if you scout it you can deal with it(assuming you know how).

Yeah.. a lot of people are cheesing these days. But most are smart enough to place their proxy where you are least likly to scout it.

Yeah it happened again vs a toss toss and we lost pretty bad because of it. I hate these damn cheese strats.

You should get use to cheeses because people have been doing cheese strats since the beginning of bw when the spawning pool costed 150$

Yeah, cheese is part of Starcraft. In a real battle, it doesn't matter how you win, as long as you win. Honor is a liability in a fight to the death.

At the same time, you better learn how to play for real because once you face someone who can counter cheese (which isn't so hard), then you're basically left with nothing.

Personally, I try to steer away from cheese in SCII. It's just not that much fun. And you're right. It doesn't work very well in the upper-league games. Heck, it doesn't work all that great in the lower ones either. :)

Works for me all the time. Don't know about you guys but I cheesed my way to Rank 6 in Gold league so far, in 2v2.

8 Rax reaper rush against Protoss is all hell powerful if they don't get Stalkers asap, which they usually don't because they don't realize I have a barracks right outside their main base.

for me marines works better
