Roach Nerf

I just played a grand total of 1 2v2 game, in which I played zerg. Given one opponent randomly surrendered as their internet connection started dying, it's not exactly a deep well of experience.

Having said that, I literally didn't notice the increased control cost. It didn't seem to affect me at all. I was still able to make a large, diverse army. Running low on minerals was a bigger problem by far. (And for whatever reason, I didn't run into the usual vespene problems.)

So that's my shallow take on things. I still want regen back though.

This might be a bit offtopic, but does anybody think that the hydras atack should be partialy specialized against armored units ( a bonus against armored, as it used to have before beta), so that the roaches and hydras role would be even more diferent.

The mineral problem is probably from the need to make more Overlords faster to support that increased supply.

I certainly feel that the roach has been overnerfed, but at the same time I don't think the population nerf is really all that big of a deal. I still feel the same way I did when they reduced the armor. The Roach was the only really good unit the Zerg had. I rarely even bother with the roach warren now. They're useless, and that nerf is the sole reason why Zerg is slightly behind in the matchup statistics. Better corruptors or infestors might make up for that a little, but I'd rather just see the roaches back.

Blizzard is that guy the tells you that everything will be ok, then give you a hug, and when you are close to them, they stab you, and dances over your rotting corpse.

For Blizzard everything is ok, then suddenly this patches come with changes that not even they know how to explain (read: the explanation they gave about the roach nerf)

i LOVE the nerf, after watching nony builds i always go 2 warpgate to stargate with quick phoenix harassment.
I play a lot of 2v2 so the push my opponents do can be kinda hard to protect from if my ally cant even defend his own, untill my forces comes from the back. 2x zerg rushing to a quick roach rush can be veeery hard to defend when sandwishing roaches dont rly help much unless you got the right units.

But i think its kinda hard nerf, many zerg just roll over and die when u go after their queens and overlords :P

All I know is that I rarely had a problem against roaches as a Terran player, so now I'll have even less of one. ^^

Why nerf the roach? I say they just remove zerglings, banelings,hydras, roaches, ultralisks, mutas,infestors, and attack command from zerg. Then the game will be balanced.
