[Speculation] Infestor Getting Corruption?
In Patch 11, the Corruptor lost the ability to disable enemy buildings in favour of being able to deal extra damage against enemies despite the former being theoretically a cool and useful ability that has great strategic potential. So, I've been thinking... Anyone reckons (or hopes) that the Infestor will get Corrupt Building (renamed Infestation or Infeset Building) to replace Spawn Infested Terrans which is already at risk of getting axed? Personally, I think it better suits the Infestor anyway since they are ground units. So, there's less risk of abuse such as suddenly flying into an enemy position and disabling the entire base.
Re: [Speculation] Infestor Getting Corruption?
Id favor this. It would be allot more useful than freaking infested terran. Corrupt building is very zergy too.
Re: [Speculation] Infestor Getting Corruption?
It should have been switched before its removal, so much more Infest-y and spellcaster-esque.

The Infestor already has two great abilities. Instead of giving it more, they need to focus on the Corruptor getting something useful. The Corruptor is a terribly boring unit and its new ability seems worthless.

Corruptor isnt a primary spellcaster. Its primarily a Anti air unit.

You could say the same thing about the Phoenix, but Graviton Beam is a lot of fun.
Re: [Speculation] Infestor Getting Corruption?
Infestor needs a new spell, corruptor needs another ability. Zergs need a new unit. They aré boring.
Re: [Speculation] Infestor Getting Corruption?
I was thinking something along this lines, voted +1 yes it fits!
I was thinking that since Protoss nor Zerg can't be infested, just disable the production building for some time while infested.
I'm not sure how to make it work against Zerg: it would have to be to infest the prerequisite production building for example the Spawning pool and by doing so, all the units and buildings that directly require a spawning pool will be unavailable while the infestation is in effect, so for Zerg it will be like mind controlling a prerequisite building or something like that.

The new ability isn't worthless by any means (was fairy fire worthless in wc3?), it's just boring.
Re: [Speculation] Infestor Getting Corruption?
7 mutas with 3 corruptos with corruption can own 12 phoenixes.
Re: [Speculation] Infestor Getting Corruption?
Stim pack is boring as well, but its users aren't primary spellcasters either. I'll definitely agree that the new Corruption is kinda boring (and a ghost from SC1), but it definitely works. Abilities (active and passive) and secondary weapon effects (AoE, etc.) on fighters are only meant to add a little bit of spice to the battle. Without any abilities, then those fighters would truly be boring. Too many abilities, then those fighters become too independent.
Personally, I disliked the building corruption on Corruptors. I'd love to see it on Infestors though.
I vote yes.
