Well i am suprised and silly that i didnt realise the cash is considered a unit, since it was in the region it set the trigger off.
Anyway, i had what you already said in my triggers, except I made a few adjustments to make it more realistic. hope this can be of use if you need it maul (doubtful) but if you want to make resources to be picked up here is how.
Events- Unit (triggering unit enters region money 1)
Actions- modify player triggering player add minerals 1
General wait 4.5 game seconds
trigger turn (current trigger) off.
Unit- remove cash
Make sure your first action is to turn off the trigger, otherwise it will run each time a new unit enters that region before the 4.5 second wait is over
does anyone know if there is a way to increase the population limit for the players and computers in a custom map or can you not do that? im tryng to make a two player hold out map and i need to balance it more.
There is an easy way of doing this but I'm at work so I can't really look right now. Another way of doing it would be to reduce the supply cost of certain units by 33-50%. You can do that under the units tab by changing the value supplies from say -6 to -4 or whatever. However keep in mind the main reason 200 supply is used is because most computers can't handle too many units
i made another map and its almost working but teams are not spawning next to each other like they should be. its suppose to be a melee map as well not a custom anyone know how to make the teams spawn together but randomly in their corners?
EDIT: nevermind i figured it out
I keep getting the following error:
"The requested publish name has unacceptable words (StarCraft) [LOCALE]"
and I've removed the word "StarCraft" form the name.
I found it! You have to change the name in the map> map info dialog, not just in the file>publish dialog.
Check it out, I'm in the editor:
Way to go, Gradius. :) Looking forward to more.
