Re: [SC2] Galaxy Editor Resource Thread
Strange, it didn't work before. Thanks D-Squid.

Ain't no thing but a chicken wing.
Also: I rebuilt my entire Dominion map (terrain, doodads, units) using copy-paste into an other file.
IT STILL WON'T PUBLISH!!!
Re: [SC2] Galaxy Editor Resource Thread
Is it just something about the Korhal tileset, that it doesn't work? Because the river thing worked on the Bel'Shir set, now on the Korhal set it does the square water tile thing again.

It works fine on Korhal. Just adjust your water height using the "Edit Water" button under your water choices.
Re: [SC2] Galaxy Editor Resource Thread
Hm, guess the editor just doesn't like me yet. Ah well, I'm figuring it out slowly. Still, a LOT for confusing then I expected. I mean, StarEdit was complicated and there was a lot you could do with it, but it wasn't confusing...
EDIT - new question. How do I preview the map without having to launch the beta? I just want to see how the weather effects look.
Re: [SC2] Galaxy Editor Resource Thread
Ok does anybody know how to have players slots in the lobby correspond to what player they are in the game? Whoever joins my map always spawns on my team, no matter what slot he's in, because the game sees him as "player 2". I've messed around with Game Variants and start locations all day - nothing.

You should just be able to lock each player to a start location.
Map > Player Properties > Select "Player 2" > Control pulldown to "User" > Start Location pulldown to "(select desired location)"
Re: [SC2] Galaxy Editor Resource Thread
I'm not making a melee map. And that wouldn't help anyway since my problem is that the game lobby sorts people into the wrong player slots in-game.

It works on all game types, not just melee. Its the basic "this player goes here."

Agreed. It's more complicated now primarily because its an editor for a 3D game. The WCIII editor was just as daunting. I sat that editor out as well :)
