Dear Lord. The amount of lamedouchetardness on that page is gargantuan... And look at the comments section.... The ammount of d**k sucking is just... wow... Really...
Ill appreciate this forums more than ever. I swear. The forums and all its members...
Re: What if the Queen could morph into a Hatchery . . .
Weird, I just checked out their total user number and I'm sure it's dropped about a dozen in the last half-hour.
Re: What if the Queen could morph into a Hatchery . . .
Man they must get swarmed like zerg on a psi-emitter over there, to impose stuff like that, or I hope they do...

I think this is a really good idée, the 20T might be a bit too fast, but that is up to testing to get down. I guess your still sacrificing you queen otherwise the faster hatchery and faster unit spawn will make it to good I think
Re: What if the Queen could morph into a Hatchery . . .
IMO you should keep the 2 way of making the hatch. Then you choose between the queen and the drone.
A good BO could be:
-Pool
-Queen + lings
-Spawn larva
-FE with queen
-make another queen
IT cost you an extra queen for early strategies but you have an expo at lower cost and a little faster.
Re: What if the Queen could morph into a Hatchery . . .
Why would you use the Queen to morph a Hatchery, instead of using a Drone? By using the Queen, you're losing a lot of time of Spawn Larva, and then you need to train one Queen you used to buld the Hatchery and another one for the new Hatchery.
I think it's better to use the Queen to Spawn Larva, and have the Drones ready for the expansion when it finishes building.
About TL, that new rule coupled with the one that says you cannot say a top player is wrong means that only top players can discuss balance matters. Seems like non-top players can only discuss trivial matters, like how the game looks, and ask for the top player's wisdom to help improve their gameplay. Not the end of the world, but they like too much to use the banhammer.
It seems to me like they want to have only top players as regular users, and people asking for help... until they commit the great sin of contradicting a top player, or complain about balance without enough proof, and they receive the holy punishment of ban. Won't be surprising when their user base falls, but that's probably what they want.
I wonder if top players can post balance issues about matchups that have nothing to do with their familiar race without proof...

I guess there's no reason for me to ever go back there again.
Gotta say guys . . . don't know where I'd be without SC:L :)
This thread is now about how lame TL is.
They are so lame.
That is all...
Re: What if the Queen could morph into a Hatchery . . .
This might be a far out idée, but why stop at the Hatchery??
Why can't she spawn/morph as a spire or another tech building! I know it won't be used much, but it will enable the zerg to relocate faster that another race if need be, and I think that is really 'zergish'??
Just thinking out loud! sorry
Re: What if the Queen could morph into a Hatchery . . .
About the Hatchery, it could (yes, could) be the missing piece of the Zerg decision-making.
About other Tech, not so sure, but some number tweaking....
Re: What if the Queen could morph into a Hatchery . . .
Symbiosis
-Multiple queens can channel a morphing structure
-Morphing structure builds faster
-Queens cannot cast while channeling
Id also raise the cost of the queen to 200 minerals. Maybe tack on a gas cost if nessisary.
Re: What if the Queen could morph into a Hatchery . . .
People ALREADY complain that Zerg can tech-switch too quickly.
