That's because they breed like vermin and nobody really cares enough about them to destroy them. The extended Zerg Swarm showing up on Earth's doorstep would have killed the humans off in a heartbeat. That's the thanks the Protoss get. :$
Most Terrans are lowly scum, who's only purpose is be mauled by Hydralisks or get incinerated by Protoss high energy beams in cinematics.

Humans are so badass that you pansy Protoss and sissy Zergs have to team up with MOAR humans just to take down an invading 'expeditionary' fleet by another humans faction from a billion light years away. Hey Pandonetho, tell me about some of the psionic powers that Terran psychics use in battle? They train for years at the Ghost academy so they must have some useful psionics they use on the battlefield, right? One High Templar can kill a dozen Marines with a Psi Storm. What do ghosts do? Nothing? Awesome. What a joke.
All this storyline mumbo jumbo doesn't matter anyway because the Protoss get the last installment in SC2 aka. they win.

One Ghost can kill an entire city with 1 nuke. That's right. Most ghosts aren't crazy psionics like your precious high temps. If you knew any better, wou would know they use psionics to augment themselves differently aka speed, vision, cloak, etc.
Tell me this then, if high templars used to be zealots, then why are they SOOOO useless in physical combat once they expend their energy? It's like they forgot how to fight.
