Yeah this is very true that map is truely retarded, it would be fine every once and awhile but its like every game I play now since theres only 3 freaking maps in the pool

Kulas is a great map for 1v1
And would be great for 2v2 if they fixed the spawns
Honestly I feel like most of the maps are really good cept for of course twilight fortress

The only problem with it for 1v1 is it's very Protoss and PARTICULARLY terran favoured.

I dont know I always end up expanding at the gold and winning as zerg on that map, you can defend your side of the map pretty easily with a roach hydra army just make sure you kill those rocks so they cant cliff you eaisly.

It's totally Zerg favoured.
It's a huge map and no one else gets a movement speed boost to make use of all that terrain. You can quickly expand and reinforce any spot you have connected by creep.

And then watch it get molested by reapers and siege tanks and colossi because of all the cliffs. :P

The reason why kulas whas taken out of 2v2 was the "lack" Of terran mobility in the early game. The bases were too far appart for your ally to assist you if you got double rushed. The reason why most people hate Twilight fortress is the exact opposite of this. the bases are right next ot eachother so it forces players to play out of their comfort zone. Theres no exploitable back door or room to effectively do a drop or nydus and the enemies ally is always right there. The relative safty of the two bases makes for a more turtle teching kind of game which most players dislike because they can't easily rend slaughter and evisserate their enemies. This causes some lesser players to actually stay in the game for long times while they try to kill the enemy. its almost like trench warfare. Thats what Twilight fortress reminds me of trench warfare. Very rigid attack counter attack stalemate situations where the only way to win is to hope that both of the enemies make a mistake that your team and expliot.

I show the 2v2 Map Preferences list. I liked both maps in the rotation. They both were a nice change of pace from metalopolis and lost temple, which are nearly the same map.
