Great now I'll only wait for them to fix the spire into great spire mutation effect :p
what about protoss buildings
I'm sure they're working on those. Same goes for the protoss warp in animations. There are still some buildings missing the transition between warp in and alpha channel fade in. If you look at the gateway, the warpin finishes, then the building fades in from invisible. If you compare that to the pylon, where the fading overlaps the warpin.
It's just small tweaks, I'm sure they're still working on those and will patch them in a large patch.
Now I can't wait for the big patch.
No, the full post mentions that the dev team is working on all of the aforementioned textures.
This would probably include the blue fire.
I like the crackling effect that is in place right now, but blue fire on top of that would be awesome. Above all else, a proper sound fix for the game would place it above every other RTS.
This is excellent news.
X
Blue fire is definitely coming since it was there from WWI07. The WWI07 build was actually incredibly polished. For some reason everything was scrapped again and redone. They're back to polishing it again.
Best news all week
If it bleeds, we can kill it!
The only aesthetic change that I really care about is the blue high-templar afterglow, which is now in. So I'm happy.
They need to make more blood come out of units when they die. Currently the death animations simply have too much gib and not enough blood.
And dragoon type units should leak goo when they die like in SC1. Hopefully these are the last touches they are working on.
please some working on carrier! devs...
Make flying terran buildings explode as they should
Come on guys, its Blizzard! I bet the art team will use the whole time before D day to polsih and polish the visual details. This gonna be good
The fact that they are fixing visual aethetics this late in production is amazing.
<3. This has really bothered me.
I really don't understand why this isn't already in the game.
They went through a pretty big visual change for Zerg buildings, and even now we aren't certain that every building they have will make the final cut. Even the Lurker Den got the cut for the beta.
One reason bleeding animations aren't done yet is because they don't want to spend time making animations for every building until they finalize what is being used and what isn't. It's a waste of time and effort making animations for a building that could be obsolete.
I'm sure they have a team big enough to have one crew dedicated to balance and another to art assets. :p
I just said it COULD be. Usually the art teams step up their work even faster when the game nears its release. And nearing release would mean balancing is almost finished.
Hopefully, hopefully, the latter part of that particular equation is not true, and the art team is simply doing their job. :)
I remember in the WWI the Mothership had blue fire when it was damaged.
They probably had the sfx ready at one point, and decided to re-do them. I appreciate their desire for perfection, but these damaged building effects better be pretty damn good then.
I never really noticed these effects were missing.
I would buy this game even if it ships in its current state.
(Although, I'd be more satisfied with the finished product. :p)
A graphics patch is coming?????
Only because the Lurker got cut, though. I'm sure if the Lurker is put back in, so will the Lurker Den.
They're all going to be in the campaign, though...Quote:

where is the bleeds Buildings...
promise is epic fail.
You're joking right? Zerg buildings do bleed in the current patch :p.
What's up with the necromancy?
Closed.
