There's no point posting a replay. If its been conceived, I've tried it. The only thing I haven't done in multiple attempts is try to be more aggressive; attack the Zerg before he attacks me. Because frankly its been the fastest way for me to die. All the Zerg needs to do is slip his faster Zerglings past my Zealots or Stalkers and take out my Probes. Or while I try to protect my Probes he'll attack my undefended choke. Its not just MutaRoach that's the problem, Nicol is right, you need to worry about those Zerglings.
All I can do is keep trying.

I'd propose the cost increase for Roaches, something like 75/75 or at least 50 in gas.
Right. Because I enjoy getting run over by Zealots.
Roaches need to be cheap to stop Zealot rushes. It's hard enough to get the gas to produce Hydralisks off of two bases; producing lots of a 25 gas unit off of one base is almost impossible.

As for Hallucination, if the Zerg is decent all he needs is an overseer and to manually pick off the real Stalkers by focus firing.
By focus firing with the incredibly short-ranged Roaches? You wish.
Also, unless you're expecting cloaked units, you usually don't bring your precious Overseers into a battle.
This match is made of fail. Everything the Zerg player did was stupidity of the highest order.
1: He didn't have enough Drones. Spending a single SL cycle on Drones would easily have doubled his mineral flux. Clearly, this is a SC1 Zerg player.
2: He didn't get Zerglings. He clearly saw Stalker+Sentry. And he kept building Mutalisks, not the Drones+Zerglings he needed.
3: His macro was crap. And when I'm talking down to your macro, seek help. You should never have that much larva just lying around. Even when you're waiting for your Spire.
4: He expanded to corn, but didn't even bother to do anything with it. I've done something like this on occasion (expanding without building), but I'm an upper-mid level Silver player.
5: At the end, when the Protoss did his big mass-forcefield, the Zerg should have backed off. Pull back; the force fields blocked the Protoss's advance just as much as the Zerg's. Back off and wait, then attack. But no, he threw away his Mutalisks for nothing.

Do you wall off with Protoss? I usually build both my gateways above the ramp against Zerg. 3 Zealots at ramp or a basic wall with some units would shut down any rogue Zerglings. Anyway, I still think you should post a replay because right now this thread is nothing but rampant theorycrafting about how unbalanced PvZ is, with nothing for us to analyze.

I've never not walled off my choke. If the map lets me I prefer to block in my expo too, makes expanding easier.
Re: I'm Sick & Tired Of MutaRoach!
its quite obvious that makes defending harder, once youre dealing with more mobile units.
i havnt seen you play lately, but if you insist on building at choke, you'd better take that expo asap & make it count so you get an econ advantage to show for your spread-out / low-ground structure placement. idk but you may'need' to canon up while doing so.. its usualyl a far too long walk 'tween your choke at 'nat & main base mienral line; even if you seem em comming and go back isnide, as you say, that leaves the front door open for lings.
bottom line: try some all-in-ish early 2nd nex an/or canon up. or simply give up on bulding at choke; establish map ctrl wtih units or harass for econ damage before you expand.
Re: I'm Sick & Tired Of MutaRoach!
This question just came to my mind: can you select multiple cannons/turrets/bunkers/crawlers and focus fire them all at once? I remember hearing "yes" a long time ago when they were first talking about MBS, but that could've changed by now. Such a feature would make base defense a fair bit easier.
Re: I'm Sick & Tired Of MutaRoach!
Well, there's been more than one occasion where I selected my Queen and Hatchery by accident. I don't see why selecting cannons and units together wouldn't work.
Re: I'm Sick & Tired Of MutaRoach!
get with the times man, GROUPING your queen with your hachery is seriously convenient for SL use. :P im sure you can still select & attack-order canons togetehr. i just recently uprooted & rerooted a bunch of spore crawlers while having them all selected together.
Re: I'm Sick & Tired Of MutaRoach!
K sounds good. Just wanted to be sure :)
