Heatseakers against zerg main structures.
Ok so apparently Heat Seakers only target units right?
Well, larvas are units and they can blow up pretty easily. Heatseaking a group of larvas with a heatseaker will just end up in an economical harrassment, but heatseaking larvas with around 10 heatseakers would result in an actual attack against the enemy expansion, and with enought heatseakers you could hunt for zerg structures.
Toughts?
I also need a beta tester to try it out and save the replay or make a youtube video.

Are you sure HSM's damage buildings? Spidermines don't.

You'd be better off with Autoturrets.

they do damage structures (altho u can't directly target them), but as stated above, you'd probably be better off making a crapload of turrets. a 1500 hp hatch would need at least 15 HSMs (and probably more, due to splash effect and regen), which translates to at least 15 ravens. At that point, those HSMs could be better used elsewhere.

Hunter seekers cost 150 energy. Their main use is through their splash damage, not single-target. If you had enough ravens to launch 10 HSM, you're better off using Autoturrets like DS suggested.

I tried this out with Hamshank the other day - you can't click the Larvae fast enough to launch like 15 Seeker missiles :p. You'll get maybe 7 or something like that, before the Larvae blow up and you have nothing left to target :p.

Like has been said, this is a bad use of Raven energy. But if you did want to target the larva with an arbitrary number of seeker missiles before the first one lands, you could do so by shift clicking.

And why not Thors that does 500 damage each with their Cannons + 90 per attack... :rolleyes:
Seriously, if you want that much of harassment you are better with Thors or just mass M&M drop.

i could see this being used as a "pimpest play" in the future where some crazy korean gets a hatchery down to some health with an M&M drop but the zerg reinforcements come and there is no possible way to take out the expansion so the player launches seekers at the larvae and kills it...
but it wont be regular play. your better off with regular turrets.
one question, does defense drone stop roach attacks?

Hmm,gotta test this,but the last time i noticed it doesn't just NOT stop them,but also gets his mana drained super fast from the roaches acid attack,that was a bug, i dunno if blizz have fixed it....
p.s I think that acid is not a projectile so i guess it shouldn't be stopped by the defence drone....

Sorry for the offtopic. So defence drone is actually negating any attack (projectile that is ...) right ? Does it stop a Nuke from fallin` - this would be pretty nasty :D Can anyone expalin how exactly does it work and is it often used in game ? 10x

The ability icon says what Drone blocks. There's even a screenshot of its heads up.
