I've figured out over 15 bugs for previous blizzard beta's.. I was on the "Blizzards Friends List" program which got me into most of those betas.. Its a shame they closed that thing down, it was the only way deserving people got into the beta.
So yes, I do feel I am more deserving than someone who is selling their keys on ebay. How many keys have been sold on ebay since beta started? At least 1000.. Probably Much more. Is that fair?
Not everyone is in the US and can go to Blizzcon.

The people who are selling their keys went to Blizzcon and paid for their tickets and travel/hotel. They have every right to do what they want with their beta key.

For people who are more casual it sucks because you can't play with your friends, but e-sports isn't about that.
Totally disagree.. When I played in WC3L, It consisted of teams that were all over the world. I would say, when I was in it, there was 12 teams.. About 2 North American, 2 Korean/Asian, and 8 European.. I know my team personally consisted of 2-3 Europeans and 2-3 North Americans, and if we were split, we wouldnt be able to play eachother.
Like right now, half my friends are on the Euro Beta, so if I did happen to get a key someday, I wouldnt be able to play with them unfortunately.. Which is really unfortunate, because I want to play THE TOP players.. which wont be on the American server.
I think when the game is released, I might consider buying a Europe or Asian key somehow, because the North American competition wont be very high.
Lag might be an issue at times, but its the price you pay to play vs the best in the world. Again, in War3, I only played Europe servers because it had the top players in the world, and didnt lag as much as Asia did for me.. BW itself is run 100% off a Russian server right now in ICCUP, if there was no way for North Americans or Asians to play in Europe's server, ICCUP would be only europeans, and therefor would not be popular at all (the reason its big is people know koreans practice there) And since ICCUP is THE MAIN thing keeping BW alive right now since Bnet is filled with hackers.. Cutting off the scene for North Americans would kill the North American BW scene.. There would be no Idra or Nony, or anyone because they would never get the practice vs koreans to get them in a decent level..
Non-Korean BW would be dead 4 years ago if it was region specific.. and SC2 wont survive longer than a year in the pro scene if you cant play cross-region, except for in Korea because they have the funding and top-notch talent. North America and Europe would be dead.
I think this is the biggest issue in SC2 so far.. Balance, art design, everything else isnt a concern, but if they make it region specific, Say goodbye to the whole eSports scene outside of Korea, which isnt even that big right now anyways.
I think if they keep it region specific, you will see all serious players buying Asian copies of SC2, because that is the only place you will get top-level competition.. I know I will if thats the case. Maybe Blizzard knows this and its all a money-making scam.. Only logical explaination I can see for keeping the game region specific.

Q. It was previously mentioned that the balance team feels Archons were underused. Is this still the case?
A. The Archon is intended to be a unit you can use when your High Templar run out of energy. It is not meant in StarCraft II to be a core counter to a variety of threats. Currently it is functioning reasonably well in that role but we are always looking for additional data that will prove our assumptions wrong.
It seems that at 300 gas, they don't expect to see lots of them. But if they're intended to be used when HTs run out of energy, why does the merging animation take so much time?

Q. Do you agree with players about the zerg voice, or are you happy with it?
A. We are looking at pulling some different takes for the zerg Queen that change the personality of her voice (a little bit).
That will make a lot of people happy :)

Q. Who would win in a fight, Greg Street or Dustin Browder?
A. The battle would be close, but both parties would suffer TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE DAMAGE!
LOL!! :D
Re: Blizzard dev chat on Twitter
Well.. from other places, I hear that this region-lock thing isnt exactly as it seems.
They just mean that your account will stay on one region.. But you can still make a new account on the Europe and Asia servers.. So thats fine, basically how it is on War3 and BW now. Ok, crisis averted.
They really made it seem like it will stay exactly like it is on beta right now, which would be a total disaster.

You really think so? What about the 500+ people who sold "emails" with keys in them, not the cards? Did they all goto blizzcon too? No.
Re: Blizzard dev chat on Twitter
Where is that confirmed?
EDIT: Regarding the ability to create alternative accounts for the EU and Asia without having region-specific keys.
Re: Blizzard dev chat on Twitter

Re: Blizzard dev chat on Twitter
According to this developer chat,
here's what we can expect from the next patch...
1. Massive buffs to Terran, especially to their mech units.
2. Tweaks in Protoss' early game.
3. Continued tweaks to Infestor, possibly to shift his role.
4. Team color added to protoss build graphic.
5. Possible change to creep color.
6. Additions of new maps.
7. Changes to existing maps.
Units that could be changed with the next patch include:
Hellion, Seige Tanks, Viking, Thor,
Zealot, Sentry, Stalker, & Infestor.
I don't know about you, but all this seems pretty exciting.
Even if only a few of these changes make the next patch.
