2v2 Dual Terr: Marines and Marauders
I'm getting bored... it seems unstoppable in tier 1.
We play dual zerg and nothing in tier 1 seems to work out, muta's come too late and hydra, well... where are the lurkers? do we really have to burrow banelings in front of our base just to be able having a chance stopping the first wave?
Every terran team seems to be doing this and we're running out of clues. Early pool rushes dont work as all terrans block, mass lings cannot get in their base, banelings are not effective enough in tier 1 and roaches get squished like hamsters.
We're ~#6 platinum div 9 btw.

Yeah, dude, you need banelings.
Speedbanes are insanely good against M&M.

put emphasis on seeing em comming, and use ling/ling speed to flank as much as possible - preferably even before battle, and set burrow-traps whenever possible..
extending creep with tumors in front of your bases should be a good defensie mechanism too; imagine meeting them head on with that insane ling-on-creep speed, perfectly timed with reinforce-surround from the rear or burrow-ambush.
... i can see that ts strong though, marauders seem like really tough units.

You say that as if it would be such a terrible thing, as if using Banelings is somehow beneath you or unclean or something. If they get the job done, use them.

you guys realise that by the time you have burrow you will probably have hydras?? So i guess it's not to late to rely on them,also a strategic spine crawler or two can help...

Hydras aren't all THAT great against marine/marauder. Especially if the terran player has medivacs.

Not if they are outnumbered by 3:1 of course,I've seen lots of games were roaches and hydras completly smash through M&M&M even with Tank support,Hydras are still probably the best and most versatile zerg unit...

Banelings and Hydra's will almost always massacre M&Ms if used properly, I've done it dozens of times. I don't see why you don't like using Banelings, they were put in the game for a reason. To own Terran :)

Banelings are pretty much the lurker replacement, better get used to them =p

Guessing Z/immortal. Immortals blow up marauders. But it's hard to say with dual m&m players, you'd hit this crit mass where 2 players worth of units could chew through practically anything you throw out there, esp with medivacs.

Guardian Shield and a some mix of stalkers and zealots (or just one or the other) would probably do all right.

The guy is talking about the first wave aka tier 1 units only so no immortals, medivacs or even hydras.
Use banelings... seems to be the only real strong counter tier 1

Probably with Charge.
IMO, should be a Zealot + Stalker combo, but i doubt that the Stalker has something good to add in that kind of battle.

So if marauders murder roaches, do they do equally as good to a mass of zerglings? Their firerate seems pretty slow. If my failed rush didn't work I would probably go baneling + mass zerglings if my mineral/gas income was low. Gonna try this later.

marauders surely cant be very cost effectie vs zerglings with concerns to damage. but if the ball of units is big enough, and they have marine support, and everyone is stmming and the lings come from one direction, the slow effect will do alot of good...
i would assume its really as always when zerglings are involved - either they are allowed up close to chew through the enemy, or few of them get close enough to deal significant damage...
... its certainly extra important to pick your fights against stimmed infantry.. gotta be clever about it.
... if its a big problem adn they're really agressive, i would tr defending the ramp with banelings. should work well since they cant see to fire at them 'till its too late.
