Kerrigan's Infested Generals
Lots of talk about Kerrigan going on, it's got me thinking. Who would YOU like to see join Kerrigan's roster of generals and advisors throughout SC2, and why? Most of these presume infestation (in the case of Duke & Fenix, infestation and resurrection much like what happened to Stukov), or re-infestation (Stukov) but Duran might be persuaded by some other, diplomatic, means.
I've gotta go with my man Stukov on this one. If they've gone and resurrected him, they might as well put him to some good use... and an infested, bitter space Russian sounds pretty darn good to me.
Re: Kerrigan's Infested Generals
Stukov was first killed then ressurected as infested terran then UN-infested by Raynor and Artanis with a protoss nanovirus or nanorobots something like that...I hope the UED will return with a larger Fleet with the objectives not to 'enslave' the Zerg but to destroy them...
Re: Kerrigan's Infested Generals
I vote Valerian,
If Kerrigan was able to infest Arcturus' only son and heir and turn him against the Dominion that would be the perfect vengeance and the ultimate slap in the face to her former commander and father figure.
Re: Kerrigan's Infested Generals
Maybe, Phazon. They seem to be putting a lot of attention on who and what Valerian will be in the coming years. A ruthless dictator? A man of the people? Or perhaps a re-hash of Arthas as he is incorporated into the Swarm, a young man even Arcturus is proud of? His swashbuckling sword could somehow become permanently affixed to his body, inspiring the name... King of Blades.
Re: Kerrigan's Infested Generals
I remember asking about Fenix at one of the BlizzCon lore panels. And the answer is no, despite how great that would've been.
I'm unsure of who of the current major players could turn to the Zerg. Two likely directions Valerian can go would be to take over the Dominion, or be infested as one of Kerrigan's generals. Either is just as probable in happening, but no evidence or strong foreshadowing.
However, I could imagine Tychus talking to Jim in his gruff voice: "Join us, Jimmy. It makes you feel... gooood. Hate to have to kill ya."
Re: Kerrigan's Infested Generals
I don't think Kerrigan likes the idea of having a "King". She might as well stay as a single monarch like Queen Elizabeth I. Like Valerian or another powerful "king" figure. Duke is quite more probable because he is not used to rule but to follow orders. On the other hand I don't think Kerrigan would botter to save him, unless it is to make him suffer a horrible pain for ever. I also feel that Tychus will suffer a horrible death but not at Kerrigan's hands.
So I choose "Other": as Jake Ramsey
Why? Because, Kerrigan holds no memories like the Overmind did; and eventually, taking over Ramsey's mind would grant her power of what he learned throughout the years.

I think that question (or a similar question) made the net and if memory serves me, Blizzard responded along the lines that it was sometimes cool to bring back dead characters and that sometimes, it wasn't (at which point the audience started laughing). That's not the same thing as a 'no' and is in a way, an skillfully dodged question with a non-answer.
Hence, I wouldn't necessarily rule Fenix out just yet. Moreover, she did have access to his body.
Personally, I don't think Kerrigan will have many infested generals. I suspect she'd surround herself with Queens (if at all). Perhaps, she might have the odd infested general but they'd likely be new, original characters much like Findlay, Tosh and Hill.
Re: Kerrigan's Infested Generals
I don't have a source but I'm pretty sure Blizzard confirmed Fenix will not return, as it's too redundant. I think she will be infesting every Terran she doesn't have to kill. Probably only skilled tacticians or powerful psychics as real generals though. Don't forget she's a narcissists, she believes herself to be just about perfect, and it's no good building an army of perfect T/Z hybrids if they're all grunts, there are much better options for basic fighters, I'd prefer to wrestle an infested terran than an infested ursadon anyway.
The appeal of infested Terran is intelligence and psi-ablities. Those only really shine out in situations when they're controlled by the individual. Centaurs may be handy, but once again, it's not like they're making the best use of Terran skills if they're all grunts.
I'm gunning for an infested Matt Horner, I think it would be a good play, Raynor's "good side" suddenly becoming a monster would be a great character challenge. Valerion could be infested and the Emperor, though. Kerrigan can be very subtle about it, just look at the frontline comic about Starry the nightclub singer who got infested and was never found out.
Re: Kerrigan's Infested Generals
I woulda voted Stukov but he's already bee cured. I thus vote for Duke because that would be too badass.
Re: Kerrigan's Infested Generals
Gotta go with Valerian. Aside from the Dominion, he's the the only other thing that Arcturus really cares about. And by "care" I mean Arcturus would just hate to lose an heir. I don't think he really loves his son. Just maybe the idea of him.
Arcturus doesn't love anyone or anything except himself.
