Download flabortast's cache folder (I linked it earlier on this page) and replace your cache folder with it. The maps (and other temp files) are found within the cache folder.
To find your cache folder (in windows xp), open up windows explorer, then go to tools -> folder options -> view -> show hidden files and folders. then go to C: -> documents and settings -> username -> local settings -> application data -> blizzard entertainment -> battle.net. the cache folder should be within "battle.net."
Re: You can watch replays without the hack.
^ Thanks, I'll give it a shot later.
Re: You can watch replays without the hack.
Hmmm i don''t know if anyone has encountered this problem, but I was able to get replays working with all three patches through the converter and everything was runnign smoothly for a few days.
However, a few minutes ago, a replay I was watching literally shutdown mid-replay and i got a notice that SC2 was no longer working properly... I then re-opened the client and tried to watch replays i had just watched and now all replay files give me that "TEMP files missing etc..." notice and they no longer work.
I wonder if there is a new patch currently being updated or if there is something i can do to fix this? anyone else experience this problem?
Re: You can watch replays without the hack.
probably a bug of some sort, that messed up your cache again, iirc i never got a crash but i did go from being able to view to not being able, but reextracting the cache folder solved it.
Re: You can watch replays without the hack.
Just so you guys know, you can play vs. AI now, since a couple days ago. The AI is still in development, so don't expect an AI that will rape you 24/7, just a challenge for some newcomers (like myself) to melee in general.

This wasn't bright imo :p

My posting it or the fact they made it? Regardless of what happens, I'm paying for StarCraft 2 in the end. So I don't think it matters all that much. I bought every Blizzard game in the past and am not gonna break that streak.
Re: You can watch replays without the hack.
^ Yeah, I saw you can do that. Looks like there are loads of people doing it and having success.

May i ask how? just out of curiosity....
Re: You can watch replays without the hack.
I think I'm going to take a step that should have been taken about 4-5 pages ago. It's obvious by the most recent patch that whether or not you can use beta to watch replays, they've implemented technology that discourages this activity in nature. I'm going to close this thread instead of deleting it, which I think is a solid compromise at this time. I'll be talking to the admin to consider how to proceed. No offense is intended to the participants.
