If beta is not in your future...

I just realized that the way this thread is started, it's not limited to "what-games-will-you-be-playing"?

So apart from the usual perfectionistic, and thus never-ending 3D modeling of certain personal 3D projects in Cinema 4D - I'm fiddling around around with Vue 8 Studio which I just upgraded to from version 6.

So yeah, I do a lot of non-gaming stuff on my PC.
In fact I don't think I've reinstalled a single game yet, since a HD format in early february. http://www.philipmott.dk/images/smiley2/hohum.gif

Yea I fixed my list too to include a couple of other things I'm looking forward to, even if one of them was more gaming.

Ah, Vue. I love that program. I'll be getting Vue 8 once I can afford it.

Otherwise, sorry mates, but Beta IS in my future. Even then I'll be boardgaming, and playing a lot of Team Fortress 2.

No need to be sorry Xyvik, this game has taken so long to be released that and so much quality software is coming out in the near future that no matter what I'm happy to be gaming right now. Enjoy yourself immensely though, for all the waiting masses!

Towards my earlier comment, I used to make all sorts of cool abstract art in Vue. Need to install it soon.

W/o beta, I quit comp games. Been tired of them for quite some time now (That is quit until SC2 is officially released)...

What I'm planning is:

1-Studying
2-Trying to finish all the games I bought that I never finished.

I'll probably have to do a lot of number 1 even if I get into the beta. I'm on my last semester at the University for my degree and I really don't want to take back some courses next year.

Hm, well I know I'm not participating in the SC 2 beta so what I have planned until the hopeful summer release is:

1-School (now)
2- Modern Warfare 2 (now)
3- Command and Conquer 4 (late March for me)
4- Dawn of War 2: Chaos Rising (REJOICE BROTHERS! YOUR WORSHIP OF THE FALSE EMPEROR HAS COME TO AN END!)

And if the summer release doesn't happen...Final Fantasy 13. Cheers.

I dunno about you, but I got a 2-week deadline upgrade offer for $150 (said to be $80 discount).
That was sent to me as a Vue 6 Pro Studio owner.
I orginally wasn't gonna upgrade, but considering that "Advanced Renderer Module" for Cinema 4D costs about $820 :eek: , I figured I'd use Vue 8 as "A poor man's renderer".

Well it's official, I'm burned out on watching other folks play beta. It's time to get back to another world (I'm still not going to the real one, just a different one) so I started downloading Dragon Age: Origins. I played it for a little while on 360 but after reading about how neutered it was I sold it so I could get it for PC. Then Mass Effect 2 and Bioshock 2 got a hold of me, but now they've been put to bed.

So for the next two weeks it'll be Dragon Age, then I can move onto Mega Man. What's next for you folks when you finally move away from the streams?
