Here's my first attempt at commentating for SC2. I would like your feedback, and my feelings don't get hurt! So please, tell me what you think, as I intend to do a lot of these soon.

Nice, Barry White did a pretty good job with this commentary. I didn't realize he was into SC!
Try talking a bit more about the game and not about yourself :)
I really dont like when commentators talk about stuff not involving the game, sure its relevant information to talk about yourself, i understand, but i dont like it. It just sucks when someone starts talking about something ur not interested in, right? talk about starcraft, we all like that :)
Also, you tend to miss out on the action and just talk about what ur thinking, like talking about MULE/watchtowers when attacks are going on. Try to be more active on the ongoing stuff, ur talking like its to a video diary and u can go on forever about watchtowers.
Gj, hope you get better at this so it will be a bit more fun to watch :p
Really good job, I look forward to your beta commentaries.
The main thing to watch is saying um all the time. Everybody does it at first, you just have to practise till it goes away.
Good luck.
gonna watch now! thanks for killing my boredom! =D was tired of staring at forums
Yan Ho Lee (spelling subjective) is the name.
Your voice has the debt needed to comment and i guess you might do good when you lose the "feeling of talking to the wall". *tumbs up*
I find commenting on SC 2 as a hard task, currently, as there is not enough material. Tactics and units are still behind Blizzards Iron Wall, and I tend to work over speculations. So, once we get replays on our hands there should be a boost for comentators. If you watch other commentaries you will find people discribing the new mechanics rather than calling a tactic.
Good job, and I'm looking forward for any future commentary you might test out in. BTW, have you worked with Crota lately?
I love it, man.
I like how you keep it fun with other topics when there isn't much going on screen. That kinda stuff keeps me focused on the commentary.
I'll be looking forward to your other commentaries when beta's out.
try to avoid saying "uhmm"
Ok so i watched it, and it was good. I used to shoutcast Day of Defeat CAL matches back when I worked on the DoD mod when it was a beta. So i have a little experience.
One thing i noticed from watching Day9 and Chill and other commentators is that they follow basic - Who , what, where, when, why and how which is also what i followed when i shout casted. Basically you can describe anything in a match with those. And each thing chains to each, like.... David Kim is taking his marine to yeon ho lees expansion right now because he wants to a quick harass, and he's going to do that by micro'ing around the yeon's nexus. basically that quick sentence had all the W's and how.
so i'll just rate based on that
What - 7.5/10
Who - 9/10
Where - 7/10
When - 5
Why - 5
How - 6
One thing i enjoyed is that you weren't overbearing and annoying. I watch Day9 regularly, and while he is very good, he gets so worked up sometimes that it actually gets rather tiresome to listen to, for me anyways.
For a first time it's very good, and obviously can tell you are still "shy" i guess is the only word I can come up with. But for a first time.. bravo dude. more experience you'll definitely get exponentially better
I like your voice. Somehow comforting to hear but I think in some parts you’ll need to rush it up or your audience will get sleepy. Since StarCraft 2 is an unreleased video game it is good to talk about the units the strats etc. In the future, you might want to talk more about the player’s background. Kind of like you did for David Kim but not as much for Yung-Ho Lee. It is definitely a good start but try to add more intensity to battles.
On another note, avoid discussing personal stuff on your videos unless it relates to something your viewers might be familiar with. For instance, I wasn't able to make this video sooner because I got stuck in traffic yesterday.
