Hello!
The actual and updated plan is like this:
Everyone that is in the first wave of invites will get an email when the Beta will start, not sooner.
Yes, we're going to send out multiple waves of invites, so don't get your hopes down if you're not in the first wave!
The fact that I see a "maintenance mode" shows me that the access to the site could be some issue with regional situations. (In other words, with me being in the US, I might not be able to access it like you are because of your region)
For that reason, can you provide a screen shot for the sake of others who might not access it? It's not that I don't believe you, it's just that since I can't see it, it'd be nice to see.
am from europe and its Forum Maintenance Notification screen for me, same as it was a week ago. so cheers for nothing
I know it's not rly on topic, but those waves for the beta.. is there the possibility that people with blizzcon or wwi keys will be in the first or second wave?
From what I've seen, it looks like all "promised" keys will be provided first before Opt Ins. I don't have the source right on me right now.

All of those posts are placeholders, except for the guidelines which are the same as on the regular forums.
Thanks for the quick info.
I just checked the other languages, only the Beta FAQ in all of the others except english.
The german forum just got a "test" topic, with the new battle.net nicknames it seems.

Getting closer and closer.. The tension...can't...take...argh
Very cool find! Looks like they're busy over in Europe today...let's hope they're busy over here in the US today too!
just posted up in polish forums

@Tempest: You quoted a post in a thread that was closed for specific reasons. Please stay on subject as his facebook has nothing to do with the progress of the beta site.

Cool!
Cool to see the name.name thing going on. So close :D
I don't think it was reported but here is a small change :
http://forums.battle.net/login.html?sid=5010
A login info screen!
I've got this mental image of the Blizzard guys working on the beta forums:
"OK, apply the page update... NOW!" *hits stopwatch*
*open up SC fansite forums*
"...and time! 17 seconds before someone posted about it!"
You know, I wouldn't be surprise about that. I timed once the time it would take the people to update SCLegacy and SC2GDF ...
SC2 team is quite bored when waiting for a build to be done... well at my job I'm really bored when I'm waiting for a build that take an hour to do..
for some reason, not a single account i try to log in works, nor does any cd key i try
just get "login error"
I suggest you re-check what the page says : Starcraft II - Beta account.
This mean your account is not beta activated yet ;)
Exact quote :And I think it's about time I add a picture to my profile oOQuote:
You must login with your StarCraft II Beta - English (EU) account in order to proceed.
no i mean the SC2GDF... like NOTHING works..
*coughs politely* I told you we'd post something if it was confirmed.

Oh, don't feel bad, I'm talking about the FAQ, everyone is claiming it as a rumor, We're the only ones who got exclusive images of the actual posts.
And regarding the article I'm writing now... it's nothing mindblowingly exciting, but still, new information ^_^
