Thinking the same thing.
Also I get that bug as well once in a while. I got no idea when, just randomly. I pause the game and ask for a second then I just tabb out and then it is fixed.

Short (yet deep) question and a semi thread resurrection: Can I get a computer (Build it my self ofc.) that can run SC2 with _good_ fps on its highest settings at a 1920x1200 screen resolution for 700$ or less?
If the answer is "yes"; how cheap would you say one can go for this?
If the answer is "no"; well crap >_>
yes you can, last price cuts for amd and intel were big
I have been getting weird error messages. Ati display driver has stopped working and has been sucessfully recovered. Some problems include boot problems and screen shakes when i do anything, I am thinking this is a graphics card issue. How would you return something like this?
No the AMD core lock thingy. In the ATI settings.
Ok guys - I'm thinking about upgrading my comp. I've currently got an Athlon x2 3800+ (super old). I'm going to need something capable of Virtualization for school. (I'm thinking AM3) Obviously - I still want it to handle all my games too xD
I'm on a little bit of a budget, and I'm happy with my current video card (Geforce 9600), case, and PSU (450 watt).
Here's what I've got picked out
Gigabyte GA-880GMA
4gb Gskill Ripjaw ddr3 1333
Athlon II x2 Regor 2.8ghz
If I have the money before I buy, I might go for a quad instead of that dual.
Anyway... what do you think?
Hey guys, I am trying to build a cheap yet awesome computer. I have all the parts I need, I just need someone to run through the list and help me out on what's good or not. Please either email me or message me . I am not on these forums a whole lot and dont want to keep coming back here and posting in the thread. Email: corgon67@gmail.com
ps, either that or post here if you feel to do so, i will probly check it eventually, or tweet me, that's a good idea. Twitter @corgon67
Oh and btw EvilGenius, 450 watt is not a good idea for a gaming PC, you may want at least a 500.
I already built my system, and PSU calc on newegg said 400 watts is fine. (this was assuming full-load on a phenom II x4 - I'm using a phenom x3)
People tend to high-ball their PSU specs too. I haven't ever crashed because of my PSU.
Guys, I dont want to make a new thread but I know this almost derails the thread...but I figure its okay since this is a long ass thread.
Can anyone offer "Step by steps" for overclocking an i7 920 on an ASUS P6T-SE motherboard using DDR3 1600 MHZ ram ? (my exact ram is http://benchmarkreviews.com/index.ph...=275&Itemid=67
I have installed a case fan and a V8 Cooler master and now my i7 idles at 28C on almost all 4 cores. Ive also ran Prime 95 for 8 hours and it peaked (at stock 2.67 speeds with Intel Turbo on) at 58-60C.
Ive looked at many sites but it's confusing, and I used to be an AMD guy - so having this "low voltage requirement or your CPU will explode" thing is uhh...confusing to say the least.
All I did back in the day with my AMD 2500 was change the multiplier and clock the frequency and slap on a giant after-market cooler.
