256bit memory bus is a standard now, alot of great cards have it
my 5870 1GB has 256bit memory bus, but on GDDR5
BTW - The 9800 GT is just a rebranded 8800 GT. They were quite excellent. (They're getting old though, since they're from 2007)
I was fully able to play Crysis with an 8800 GT in late 2007 - and wss definately able to max out all the very few RTS games I have. (C&C3 & Red Alert 3 amoung the newest)
But if you wan't to remain future proof, you really should get one of the DX11 supporting cards. (None of the Nvidia cards currently support it)
um not true
9800GT is based on a new chip, different memory bus and alot of improved stuff
I'sn't the last card in a series usually based on new tech? 9600's ARE rebranded 8800s though
8800 has a 448bit memore bus
The only ones I've heard of having 448 memory bus is in the 200 series - The 8800 Ultra had 384 which was the highest back then. (Apart from that superversion which you seem to have found or heard of)
