Beta build and graphics requirements.

I'm looking to build or buy a new machine soon and I want to make sure that I can at least play this game at full maximum settings with no issues whatsoever. In everyones personal experience are beta specs pretty safe to go by? Are they generally set higher than needed, or lower? How much change will take place?

I know each game will differ but I was thinking they can't be too far off from the release specs. Any insight?

In general, the beta specs will be the same as the release. This isn't always true, but I would definitely bet that this will be the case with SC2. The graphics and engine have been the same for years now.

EDIT: man, i worked hard on this sig! It looks like total balls given our signature restrictions though! :( :( :(

Spychi, I might want to suggest against that as people should wait until Blizzard officially releases the information in mere days.

I know your trying to be helpful... but ultimately they can wait a few more days for official info... it's not like we got something like "summer" to work with here ^_^

we don't have a buyer's guide anyway, I am writing a buyer's guide for Blizzforums it could work here as well

*nods* Then with a response like that I may admit I might misunderstand your intent. Sorry about that ^_^ I just wanted to ensure you weren't going to advise WHAT items to get until we have the official beta requirements out.

A Buyers guide does note mean specific game requirements, it means a machine which should run the game fairly well, IE a 2.8 Core 2 duo with 2 gigs of ram, a 500 gig hard drive and at least an nvidia 240 graphics card (just an example)

If Spychi has more information then that then his buyers guide will be more or less accurate, but he would not be giving the exact minimum and recommended specs, just what he "thinks" the specs "should" be.

Also "Ask for spec, get your tech for cheap money" would work too

if you guys are building a RIG for the upcomming beta of StarCraft 2 or any kind of other new game ask for recommendation here
I am sure that I will answer all the requests posted here

I plan on buying a new rig soon just for Starcraft II but I'm going to wait until I see the requirements.
