So does anyone else think the Jace Hall episode with the Starcraft II Beta screen has some meaning now and that it will start when that episode airs?

I would be really excited if that were the case! If no beta this Friday, then maybe at least a Battle Report or something exclusive we didn't know already.
Yesterday in the IRC chat, someone (I forget who) was saying that got an e-mail that said something about WoW getting BNET2 for a very short time before SC2 beta begins...maybe I read that wrong, but that's what I remember. So, crossing my fingers for some form of excitement tomorrow!
The will probably switch WOW over to Bnet 2 on one realm, and test, if every thing goes well, switch all the others over and take Beta live... Just my 1.5 cents.
I doubt we will get any thing other then what we have had this week. The JH vid, conference call, confirmed rough beta ETA , any thing more would be... amazing but unlikely.

More likely they'll release a PTR for WoW that will be for the purposes of testing inter connectivity with StarCraft 2 over Battle.Net 2.0. But I don't think that'd have to do that RIGHT AWAY. Battle.Net 2.0 is only being applied to WoW when Cataclysm comes out. (Well.... when Patch 4.0 comes out more likely.)Quote:

Shacknews said that SC2 is coming out mid 2010. With the beta only just beginning, it seems a little soon, though. It sounds like it's just their own estimate, as opposed to having come from Activision/Blizzard itself.

Whenever people make beta release date speculations, I noticed that Fridays tend to be a popular day.
Just out of curiosity, is there any reason why Blizzard wouldn't release the beta some time during the middle of a week, like on a Wednesday?
