"cool I like countdowns" ^_^ I has Chortles.
I expect tears on this board.
I expect blood.
I expect chocolate chip cookies. Somehow I don't think my expectations will be met.
I think it will make sense for Blizzard to announce SC2 Beta at the conference call, since it will be public, and it will somewhat reassure investors that their development project is well under way and nearing completion, meaning that they are right on schedule (after announcement of the delay last summer).
Also, being a public announcement, there might be a few beta tid-bits that the SC community will be able to relish while awaiting Beta videos on youtube, and the game itself in May/June. Oh, and this might be an (unsaid) closure announcement as well, regarding their major pre-release marketing, since beta players will be doing all the work for them on youtube.
I'm looking forward to this, because, as has been mentioned, this call is public; hence, it could only mean good news ;)
what is this...I don't even
I give up after this.
(On the game ever coming out)
Even if there isn't 'direct' beta news this Wed, I still think we're close.
well at least we know that xordiah likes countdowns
Yes, today has been a great success in the battle for SC2 beta news. We'll hit the ground running tomorrow and see if we can make further progress towards our goals. I'm thinking about starting a thread on the SC2GDF to share my favorite TV show in the hopes it'll reveal some insider information about the Protoss macro mechanics.
trust me you people are going crazy for a game like starcraft 2 but imagine if your a duke nukem fan and are still waiting for duke nukem forever.
in development since 1997. the last time anything meaningful came out was screenshots in 2007
I remember waiting on Diablo 2 at the same time as waiting on Duke. I can't believe Diablo 3 will beat it to release.
Poor Duke.....now he lives on only in the soundboards.

In response to what MaveriK had posted regarding Blizzard's updates on SC2,
Blizzard was actually very transparent for a good while on the development process. A lot of what killed their drive to keep the fans in the loop was the endless QQ and flaming that takes place on Bnet forums on a daily basis.
It sucks that people who are understanding and patient (well somewhat) like most of the SClegacy community have to pay the price of radio silence, but it is what it is I suppose.
Obviously this is a Blizzard title and they will not release anything until they feel that it exceeds expectations on all levels. And for as much as I hate the wait, and wish they would just release the damn thing, I am glad they are revising things to the smallest detail.
I mean if you think back to when the game was first announced, everyone and their mother thought it looked like WC3 in space. Now we have a pretty well polished game that looks to be very promising.
So in closing of this great wall of text, I put my faith in Blizzard as I always have. And whatever their reasons are, I am sure that we will be enjoying this soon-to-be masterpiece anytime.
Ut oh

I cant tell you how mad I am going to be if nuclear holocaust breaks out before SC Beta. Seriously if Blizzard pulls a Robert freaking Jordan....
if it isn't good news on Wednesday, I swear I will have vengeance against blizzard (ethical of course, but revenge nonetheless)
I think they're gonna announce Starcraft 3 on Wednesday.
2 more days?
profit?
