So I've been following Robear's amazing artwork for a while and began doing some artwork he inspired. I wanted to do a series of cross sections of vehicles and vessels. I have concept art for a lot of things but the most I've progressed on is a carrier, battlecruiser, wraith and dragoon. Now I can't find the artwork for the dragoon but here's some other stuff.
I've been working on this on-and-off, losing and regaining interest over several months. At this point I don't know if I'll ever complete it, but I wanted to share some of what I've got so far. :)

I didn't realize it until I was collecting my reference folder for this model, but both have huge issues with the turret. In the concept art one, the turret can't rotate without hitting the folded-up stabilizer arms, so the in-game one made them smaller— but then they have the siege mode turret at such an extreme angle that the recoil would make half the turret clip through the main body if it's facing anywhere but forward.

So, keep turret rotation in mind for your design, whoever approved that one obviously didn't. :P
Edit: all done! Well, no textures. And it's missing a couple of the pistons it needs to go into siege mode, but, looks pretty nice, if I may say so myself.

Well, were not for the goofy-like eyebrows, this could be an easy sale. Also, I guess the photo angle killed it, it just wasn't tempting enough.
