I liked the trilobite model more, but could get used to this new one.
Hopefully, both models will be in game, to have on the galaxy editor.
I realy like the new one, since i never liked the old ones tail ( the tail ruined the unit). Actualy if they would completely remove the tail from the old one, it would be the best model evar :D

ummm i meant "new model: strongly like"
Old - Like
New - Strongly Like
I thought you were impersionating the probes quotes:o
I actually preferred the older model. The blue sphere is clunky and makes no sense. What is it? A power core? Hologram? Shielded device? Until I see it in action or different perspectives, I'm not sold on it.
The older model was slightly more organic, which seems more appropriate for the protoss. I don't recall anyone ever complaining about the Reaver, which was clearly organic in appearance. The carrier was like a clam shell. Scouts had apial sensors, which refers to bees.
This is a strange unit no doubt about it. If it is supposed to be robotic, i think that it looks fine now. If it is supposed to have a pilot, it should show that more.
As for it floating, the reaver basically floated/crawled along the ground. This guy is fine.
I think they could tone down the orb thingy but the tail and head look fine.
I would like the unit even better if it had an animation that allows it to "transform" from the old one to the new one..
I don't mind the anthropomorphism. The problem was it was too literal. I think the new one strikes a good balance and gives a quick visual cue where it's powers come from (the psi orb thingy).
I hope we're gonna see a cute bell curve on the poll results graphic.
I like the new model. Looks like a Probe on steroid rage.
I liked the old model actually - I liked the "fossil" design idea - but I'm okay with the change
Old model - like.
New model - dislike.
The new model looks awkward to me, I think it'd look better with the ball tucked right in behind the head.
I voted everything because I could.
The texture update is the thing that makes it look the most kickass to me. The new model looks like someone spliced some genes from the old nullifier and the sc2 fleet beacon.
Kadaj brings up a good point. For some reason, I can't envision this being a small unit. Nor would it look quite right if it were very large.
It's a cumbersome thing.
The new model is too shiny... the blue mineral crystals already hurt my eyeballs.
Hi. My name is SenTrY. and i LuV to carry 'RounD my Blue GloBe.
No, it doesn't. There is a lot about the model that hasn't changed from the original one (almost all of the front piece). And these unchanged parts are still in scale with the old one in the first picture. So it's almost certainly the same size.Quote:
seems larger it does
The Disruptor was about the same size as a Stalker, and slightly larger than a Zealot. It was never a small unit, but it wasn't a particularly large one either.
The thing is, the old model kind of reminded me of the old reaver, with its segmented body. I really think this thing looks too clumsy...Quote:
I hope they make the unit a little bit larger... Like mmmmm, the size of the old reaver...
If it's a crystal globe like at the Fleet Beacon, I think it should look more... crystalline. As it stands, both globes (hehe, big blue balls) look like something culled from a Tron movie. I don't like that.

The Fleet Beacon's globe and the Sentry's globe do not need to match in my opinion. Thought the Fleet Beacon could use a touch-up, I'm perfectly fine with the Sentry's globe.Quote:

Your statement doesn't make sense. What about the blue orb doesn't make sense to you? It's a blue orb, on some fictional unit in a science fiction universe as part of a species that uses magic and has magic technology. Now how on Earth did you come to the conclusion that a blue orb doesn't make sense? Just curious of course.Quote:

To those currently disliking the the new Sentry model, here's something that might help you reconsider:
It's almost a certainty that the new energy sphere will likely be animated rather than a stationary globe. Possibly, it might continuously rotate on its axis or the smaller sphere might expand to merge into the larger sphere at which point a new smaller sphere develops and grows. These are just some of the more obvious possibilities. Moreover, the sphere opens up lots of potential for some fun/cool idle animations as easter eggs.
You can't judge by two pictures, you need to see them in action and all their animations.
Off topic:
Imagine how cool will Kerrigan look in-game!
Tremendous and fearsome and beautiful at the same time.
She kill pack of marines with her back spikes in a blink of an eye while not moving other body parts!
Dead marines impaled hard and immediately tossed in the air in most awesome way possible.
Then zealots come, she ensnare them and blast them with lightning storm while her eyes glow with vicious silver...
Then take down disobedient ultralisk from sneak attack while invisible and feast on his flesh like Bheur from Rashemen
thus making her even more stronger....
Anyway, I hope her model will be a shiniest diamond in SC2. Hope we'll see her in Wings of Liberty!
If not, then i will be most depressed.
She's Bitch Queen of the universe! Do your magic Blizzard!
Seems fair. For the most useless vote in the history of online polling, i give you the uselessness medal. Wear it with pride, you deserve it :D.
The newer model looks great.
Either model, it reminds me of the arbiter.
