I wish we knew the damage dealt by the charges. The last confirmed stats we saw had them dealing only 60 damage to buildings. (If so, 10 charges won't even kill a hatchery.) Having said that, the damage has almost certainly increased, just by looking at Battle Reports. The question is, how much?

Well.. I dunno if they made them invincible then perhaps they were nerfed in damage? I mean it would make sense to do that if there's nothing to counter them with after its been placed.

I imagine that they are susceptible to certain spells.
EDIT: In regards to talking about balance on this forum, keep in mind that there are two kinds. There is numerical balance, which is rather pointless to talk about and can easily be fixed through patches. There is also mechanical balance, which is a matter of a particular gameplay aspect being warped so greatly that no means of simple numerical balance can make up for the problem. An example of the former type would be how much HP the D8 Charge has (20 or 25?). An example of the latter type would be if the D8 Charge even had HP or if it was invincible (can it be killed or not?). It is imperative that we talk about the latter kind. That is the very reason for the existence of this forum.

They probably are not designed to kill a Hatchery, they are probably more designed to kill random defenses (Crawlers, cannons, bunkers) and to Speed up killing a Hatchery (what will really kill it will be the stimmed reapers, after they finish off the workers.)

If their damage was nerfed, though, they'd suck vs buildings. I mean, 60 damage is pretty lame against a photon cannon.

Haven't people ever heard about that saying where if you have no reason to assume otherwise, why would you? As far as I know, in all Blizz's games invulnerable targets have always been immune to everything that could affect them.
Why should we assume otherwise? Just because a piece of news got updated that they're invincible and suddenly everyone without a reasonable basis thinks they're OP? So that gives us every logical conclusion that they should be nerfed in some way or be affected in another? Even though people just cry OP because that's what it sounds like to them and looks like in their imagination when they've never even seen these things in action.
Hell, the least you could do is throw up some graphs and charts like in the big macro debates.

Well, Thats assuming 1 Reaper/ Cannon... what if you have a force of 6 Reapers and 2 Cannons.. what Reapers should be aiming for,... or 6 Reapers v. a Bunker
Remember the D8s recharge, unlike spider mines... so your reapers can use them again and again (although probably not in the same combat)

I don't have any logic or evidence supporting my claim. It was just a wild, speculative guess. I probably should've worded it more like, "There's a chance that they could be affected by spells like Vortex or Time Bomb, which are not about damage infliction." I think it would interesting to see something like that. Just because they don't have HP doesn't mean they are purely invincible. Then again, the CM did use the old effect of Stasis Field to describe what the nature of the D8 Charge is like.

Well maybe they could be used to take down large ground units quickly? Or buildings being constructed?

Comre to think of it, even two cannons cant do enough damage to a group of Reapers to stop them - probably better off tossing the mines at the Pylon(s)
